Troopers need a jetpack like BH's have for 1 simple reason: Vanguard's Storm.

 

The way it is right now, if we storm up to someone on a ledge above us, we just run on air to get there.

 

It looks so stupid and it's a painful reminder that the Vanguard/PT AC was designed entirely with the BH in mind and then thrown on a trooper as an afterthought.

 

And I seem to recall troopers having jetpacks in SW Battlegrounds.

 

Besides we already get the backpacks on our armor that look like they could have jets.

yeah charge sucks, give em a jetpack or at least a reverse harpoon that latches onto enemies and pulls us toward them. the run is silly

I think there is a Jet trooper right. could be an expansion you know? then again who knows?

Change it to...

 

"Ion Storm: The Vanguard overcharges their armor with an Ion charge that propels them toward an enemy"

 

The animation could be the trooper starting to run as they press something on their arm and then launching as a pulse of Ion electricity shoots from their armor. The animation would end with a stock strike type animation as they land.

I'll be happy with being able to use the missiles on the pvp armor
