EV Firestalker Trash before Gharj

Recommended Posts

The last few weeks we've been gathering all the firestalkers up and leading them out to the ledge and pushing them off. Apparently not a lot of people have heard of/tried this. It not only saves a lot of time, because the stupid dinosaurs have a ton of HP, but it's also a ton of fun.

Bye bye firestalkers

We used this on hard and nightmare mode.

One quick note, you will still technically be in combat from the time you push them off til you beat Gharj.

We had heard of this, but didn't try it until this week. OF course all our Inquis spammed their knockback at once and missed like 5 of them... lol fail, but it was still faster than normal clearing.

You can also climb up the left side of the mountain right after you exit the Gharj area and get to the pylons without pulling a single trash pack. Saves another 15minutes or so of useless trash.

Yeah, we take the path on the left also. We did a full clear of EV HM in about 40 minutes last night, haha.

Yup, heard of it, have done it, and that is exactly why I don't do it. I'll be sure to submit a bug report that agro'd mobs on the bottom are not able to return to the player, as it is clearly a pathing issue.

Maybe we just got lucky, but we killed the last 2 mobs up top (didnt knock them off and everyone's KBs were on CD) and we got out of combat after the last one was killed. Maybe coincidence, but something to try.

done this for many weeks now, saves time. Highly recommended. and yes you will be in combat until Gharj is dead or you die yourself, not sure about the latter since we havent wiped on Gharj since we started this tactic.

FYI you won't *always* be in combat up to Gharj.

We've been doing this solidly for many weeks and it's 50/50 whether you stay in combat or not in my experience - guess it depends on how the mobs act - a lot of the time they just disappear as they fall but it definatley can be gltichy :)

Can confirm that this tactic is a lot of fun!

Usually have a competition to see who gets the last kill, pretty much nullifies the time saving as people deliberately kb the wrong way so they can try again later lol.

Another fun knockback game is playing with the probes on Fabricator >>. Sadly, in 1.2 they'll despawn after the encounter finishes so we don't have much time to enjoy dying to things falling from the sky. Darn. What a shame. >>

wow people are months behind on strat..

after 1st boss everyone leaves the instance but stealthers. they stealth to the boss (easily done) when the boss talks the speeder shows up and BAM everyone is at the boss.

after Ghaj going left or right both lead to the pylons without having to fight anything at all...

seriously 40 minute EV runs is the only way it should be done.

Not everyone likes to exploit.

Not everyone likes to exploit.

LOL nothing about that is exploiting, its using stealthers to stealth past mobs using cooldowns that make it hard to detect them as the designers intended the skills to be used in PVE as well as using the map layout...NOT A SINGLE exploit is used sorry that its hard to comprehend that the game devs made a game that rewards those that work smarter not harder...

You really think the devs intended an entire ops group to zone out while a stealther sneaks around mobs until he sees the boss to skip a ton of trash?

If they didn't, they wouldn't have made the speeder skip mobs that are still alive. Or designed paths to skip down to the pylons with no agro.

^ this.

also you dont have to leave the instance it just makes it faster you can stay at the front of the area where the speeder spawns and do the same thing.

I could've sworn that you can train all the Firestalkers and then just pull Gharj; they wont follow you into the encounter.

I swear I saw this in a video I watched, but it may have been super sped up or I may have been delirious with no sleep.

Either way, the knockback thing still can take a while. Stealthing is faster :)
