"Too darn high"???

I spent 7 million credits so far on tokens, mostly smuggler's (and a couple of King Pins). My rewards:

28 x Golden Cert
4 x Cartel Market Certificate
2 x Wraith

The only thing I am interested in is the companion. Since the RNG is too terrible to make this event fun (it never was), I will go for 2 more Golden Certs and then wait for next year to buy him for 30 GCs.

If there would be a higher drop rate for the companion, I would spend more credits in order to get him for as many alts as possible. But BW chose to go that way and so I keep on hording my credits instead.
Bioware offers a friend referal system which gives referred players a couple of goodies (incl. 7 free days of sub and a neat free 10 x inventory slot for every character) and referring players some little shinies and cartel coins.
I would be happy if you choose my referral link to grab your free goodies.

You have more luck than i do, i spend roughly 8 million credits so far and got:

22 x GC
10 x CMC
and ZERO big wins.

Unfortunately it varies badly, heard of one person getting 7 mounts, 60 cert, and lots of golden stuff, but no companion, but the person beside them got little in the way of certs, and other stuff, but got 3 companions...lol
No Idea if people use these, but if so, here's my referral link

I was wondering when someone would come in this year and complain about this. It wouldn't be the nightlife event without someone complaining about a drop rate.

Yeah I think its very Random, except for the fact I have not gotten a Rodian yet.
180 goldens
75 cartel
4 mounts
no contract
I have spent about 10 million so far.
I do the smugglers till I have 5 to 7 kingpins and the luck buff, once my buff is gone back to smuggler slots.

Just last night I was at the vendor in the Casino buying some of the Kingpin chips**. There was also another player there who went directly from the vendor to the Kingpin slots. I doubt that he was "Feeling Lucky" the whole time.

So, it seems that some people still don't know the "proper" way to run the slots:
Basically, you want to run the Gambler's slot machines until you get the "Feeling Lucky" buff, and only then go to the Kingpin slots. Also, go back to the Gambler's slots again when the FL buff runs out, or you win a prize that cancels it.

**I know it's more expensive to buy the Kingpin chips, but I have lots of credits and I don't want to spend all night playing the Gambler's slots.

Not so much. I’ve spent another 1.5 mil and got 4 cartel certificates an 8 golden certificates. RNG is strong in this event.

Spent another 3 million on Kingpin chips last night, still no second companion.
(A bunch more certificates and yet another speeder, though.)

Aside from not getting the companion, I think that you are super lucky so far in this event.

That's how I do it, too, so this cannot be the reason for your luck. It must be something else. Something exciting.
