Healing is a VERY viable way to level. Whether you want to or not is another matter.
It is viable. Just like driving at 5 mph will also eventually get you across country.

Altough I do like the idea of respec'ing, I'm playing a Combat Medic and have to say it's not slow at all imo.

With all of our AoE damage, I sweep npcs very quickly.

Yes it is... I've outleveled most of the content, and I'm a healer. It's incredibly easy to solo the quests as a healer. Just remember to heal yourself if your losing health!

What part of keeping up with my dps merc in level wasn't clear?

They are leveling just as fast as people dps speced.

Which is a good incentive for rolling a healer.

How is this whinefest still going?

I have had 0 problems soloing as a full healing spec sorcerer and have needless to say been able to heal all flash points and heroics up to Alderaan so far.

I think a lot of it has to do with Khem Val.

This is a ROLE playing game. Not a ROLES playing game. If you want to be a healer then make a healer. If you want to be strictly damage then make a strictly damage class. In my opinion you shouldn't be able to respecialize at all. Permanent choices are more fun.

Good luck finding healers for endgame with this mentality.
