if you've completed conquest, you can buy a token from a vendor on fleet, which will bring your companion straight to 50, also I believe there is a similar token you can now buy on the cartel market

Vendor in conquest / guild ship area on fleet (crew skill wing) sells a level 50 token for 4.2 million and 3 dark projects.

 

Alternatively, there are items on the CM that also raise a companion to level 50.

 

As an aside, Bioware should update the price of the G6 gifts on Odessen - 250K per gift works out to something like 40 million to raise one companion to 50, which is absurd given the availability of instant rank 50 items for much less.

There is also the slow way, by doing heroics and getting the companion gifts from the alliance crates.
