Im currious and have yet to find out what level dual spec begins or if it even does. See I am leveling as tank right now but would like to be able to swap to dps. I am level 18 atm does anyone know when you can or if you can?

It's not in the game yet, although it has been mentioned as something they'd like to add soon after launch (by James Ohlen, Creative Director).

assume it's a manageable cost at lvl 50 if you're active. i'd be shocked if not. shouldn't affect your choices while playing if you want to mix it up.

 

AFAIK: you can respec within powertech or within merc. but if you expect to tank and heal, you'd need 2 bounty hunter characters

Yeah I know ACs are locked. Basically I want to play AdvProto, but out of my group of friends I'm the only one who is willing to Tank, I just wanted to make sure I will be able to manage respeccing every now and then.

i don't understand... why ppl want this dual spec thing? it is said that tanking, healing will as important in pve as in pvp, thx to companions you can lvl up as a healer or tank, don't need to be dps... so why you all need dual spec so much?

A dual spec is nice even with the addition of a companion in case you ever want to pvp without having a pocket healer, if you go in as tank spec with no heals it isn't fun, especially if you're using guard
