Sorry is this has been posted elsewhere i haven't played in awhile

I was trying to work out what SH suits what class but got bogged down in Real Life stuff so im here to ask What SH would you use for what class

I have Tatooine, Rishi, DK, and Nar Shadaa, Strongholds (i do have Yavin 4 but its been shut to make room for Rishi)

i was thinking of the Tatooine for the Bounty Hunter what are your views and ideas not sure on the other ones

I think it could depend on your Bounty Hunter's style and whether they're Light or Dark side.

 

Tatooine and Nar Shaddaa are both excellent choices.

 

I'd choose Tatooine if my BH was a subtle type, only taking contracts from clients who know the underworld and can figure out where to contact her. Maybe she wants to make it hard for her enemies to find her. Maybe she likes to go out and test herself in the desert so that she doesn't grow soft between contracts. Maybe she just loves slaughtering Jawas and Sandpeople.

 

I'd pick Nar Shaddaa if my BH was out there flaunting her prowess, attracting customers from far and wide, and hosting parties for potential clients. Maybe she likes to roll around in opulence and all the things her wealth can buy. Perhaps she just wants to have a base of operations on the planet best known for its dirty dealings, conveniently located in the heart of the underworld.

 

My third choice would be Yavin 4, especially if you want a more jungle feel. The Yavin 4 combat arena would be perfect. You could easily make it an ancient ruin turned into a secret base or training ground.

 

Whatever you decide, I'd love to see screenshots when you're done with it. Good luck!

I agree with Xina - all three are good choices depending on the focus and feeling you wanna get.

I hope this is not regarded as shamelessly promoting my own thread, if I link you to my thread about my own Bounty Hunter/Hutt/Smuggler-themed stronghold on Tatooine. But maybe you get a little inspiration from the BH/Mandalorian parts of my SH: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=954507 or a general idea how Tatooine might work for you.

I'd vote Nar Shadaa. The larger, more spread out strongholds are better for the likes of Sith lords, who have whole armies to command. Nar has everything the professional hunter could ask for.

 

It has Location, being right at the center of the underworld, where the most lucrative contracts can be found, as well as easy access to shopping, entertainment, and gambling.

 

Rooms are perfectly set up for everything a hunter might need. A room for an armory. Room for a crew barracks. Room to meet/entertain clients. Room for a repair bay. Room for a loot/trophy area. Room for all your vehicles. And all without having to take elevators and drive half a mile down the way to get anywhere.

Decorations and Stronghold are my kind of things in this game.

I am playing the game and farming money only because in the end of the day I can buy another deco and to decorate another stronghold... BTW im also an old school SW fan and RP so my designs are pretty real I mean, trying to make the best of them if it's a Casino / Cantina or Republic and Empire base or Smuggler's /BH's hideout...

 

Bounty Hunter is my main character and after playing this game for a nicw couple of years I could say that there are two Stronghold that you can use as your BH's hideout:

1. Tattooine

2. Umbara Train

Tattooine is a classic Underworld hideout with nice style and alot of deco options ( can show my place as example )

Umbara Train I've discovered durring the ' Traitor among Chiss '

Content and Understood that if you decide to follow your own BH codex, your own path and not the classic underworld mandalorian path then Umbara Stronghold is the best option.

You can shurely call Umbara as nowhere and aspecially the unknow place of it's stronghold ( it's just moving and moving nowhere ), like some unknown place and hideout ( Cad Bane's hideout as example ) and it have a nice deco option.

A lot of space and the fact that there is 0 luxury is the best part of it...

I use Tatooine as my base for my BH. I figure it was neutral enough and Siths probably hate sand

I've decided to go with Tatooine because of the following reasoning:

1: Its out of the way

2: The balcony is set in rock (bit more secure)

3: LORE wise with Mako Nar Shaddaa wouldn't be good for her

4: You can see who's coming in from a distance

 

The SH is mainly designed for Bounty Hunter/smuggler types

 

The layout of it does have some reasoning (it is not finalized)

 

When you land in your ship if you have any sick or injured members there is a medic station close by, next to that is a place to park your mounts and repair tool racks. As you go through the small dome to the first level you notice trophy's paintings etc.. (this is so the prospective client can see what we've accomplished and what we've looted/received)

when you get to the bottom of the first set of steps there are 2 Hunter signs (go through this door down the hall to the office) you'll see.

As you go down the 2nd set of steps (imp guards, turrets and holo of rishi dancer at the top) you end up in the cantina/bazaar area (over 18/21 only lol) now off to the left through the 2 large doors is the casino and slot machines area

through the back door (with the massassi guards) is the private residence (work in progress) where i entertain really close friends and family ONLY

 

This Stronghold is located on Satele Shan server Imp Side but should be available to both (let me know if it isn't) and is owned by Mad Dogg

it is a galactic stronghold (if that makes any difference looking it up)

Well, I had already dedicated my Coruscant apartment to my Commando (and it's wrong faction anyway). my Dromund Kaas apartment to my Juggernaut, my Nar Shaddaa sky palace to my Sniper, and my Tatooine homestead to my Scoundrel. When I got my Manaan SH, I decided that would be my Merc's SH. First, it was a better choice for me than Yavin 4 (and Rishi was just too humongous, and I didn't care for its particular architecture-- it was surprisingly primitive for a Star Wars setting), and from a story setting, Manaan seemed a very secure SH. Yes, all SH's are supposed to have "state of the art security systems," but Manaan just seemed more defensible from an "in character point of view."
