PPS. Way says this just to give me a hard time, but the thing about Voss and lore gibberish is just plain common sense.

To go to Belsavis, you must go to Belsavis.

I meant every word of it heh.

Tell me one time you were ever categorically wrong about anything in this game?? Hmmm???

I admire your modesty, but I don't call you the 'Guru of Star Wars Land' for nothing.

Incorrect, you may not like the concept but it was part of Star Wars lore for years and is still part of Legends lore, which SWTOR is part of. There may be not Gray Jedi in canon, though there is definitely Gray with the idea of Balance within the Mortis arc and other medias, as I'm told by my friends who keep up with the new canon. New class? A melee-type healer, like a Warrior Priest from WAR or Disciple of Kaine. My favorite player of all time was my Warrior Priest on WAR, the gameplay of this class was so fun to me along with the aesthetics!

Yeah, they view the Force differently than the Sith and Jedi, but those are cultural differences, not actual mechanical differences. It's like the Witches of Dathomir, they think they are using magic, but they are actually using the Dark Side of the Force. They play by the same rules as all Force users do, they just call it different names and have cultural spins.

What 'strange new powers" are you talking about?

When they refer to Voss as 'Gray', it's meant only in the context that they are neither Jedi or Sith. There's no 'using both sides of the force with impunity' crap meant.

The Voss are extremely limited in their ability to use the Force. I don't see any evidence of them using the Force in 'new strange ways'. They can barely use it at all.

I think you were referring to Voss Mystics as a new class. If I misunderstood you, I apologize.

I could justify, the consular story is about a special healing technique, but i really don't care. Lore has to adapt to the game, not the other way around. It serves to support story-telling, not to limit the potencial of the game.

AKA screw your lore. It bends and it will bend. It can be re-written and expanded. New dialogue lines can be added. The advanced class can be unlocked at 50 with a small quest. There are many ways to solve the problems given the will and resources. The question is if people want to play as one and i think theres a lot of design potencial there if the devs wish to tap it. This is a thread for sugestions and sugestions were made. They don't need your aproval. It's not your call to make.

No, the lore is very important. If you retcon it like that the game's lore loses consistency. New dialogue lines can be added, but designing an entire new species like that isn't easy. And any reason as to why you can play as a Voss would be extremely contrived, and the game's lore and world-building would suffer as a result. And nobody needs anybody's approval, but once you post a thread, especially a suggestion one, in the forums people will comment in favor or against it. And that's good, because it lets the developers know what the forum community thinks.
