Post 1.3 Supercommando w/ Power/Surge/Crit mods

Hey guys, i know there has been talk about it before but I have never really seen any solid feedback on this suit. I want to run a variant of the IF build come 1.3 for rated using Supercommando modded out with damage mods. I'm not looking for theorycraft or "you really shouldn't do that", I'm looking for people who have tried this setup on at least 1.2 (i know the damage nerf to shield speccing VGs to SS was rough, but stay on target). What mods did you stack in the armor and why? Which pieces/ set of BM or WH gear did you pull your mods/enhancements from? Thanks!

Also, any pointers on what to get for war hero implants/earpiece to couple with this build would be great.

Well I really can't justify power/surge/crit as a suppercommando.

The problems you run into as a Tank Tree is you are meant to surive. Your damage will increase with the more points you put into that survival. We don't have a burst but sustained damage. If you start making yourself more squishy by removing mods and refocusing you are just better off with a DPS class. I run Shield/Absorb/aim or con. It does wonders since maruaders can't burn me down fast, given i can't match their burst I can survive theirs and tear through them with SS/ioncell and a whole lot of ion

I think this is the advice he/she didn't want to hear...

To the question: I have held that the order of importance for secondary stats is crit/surge/power/accuracy/alacrity, in that order with alacrity being a very, very distant last place. As you mentioned, stockstrike is going to take a pretty significant hit in 1.3, which tapers our burst quite a bit (not to mention the relic boost nerf). It's looking like only HiB will put out the heavy hits, so a shield specialist looking to do more damage will have to cater to this. Therefore, the 5% bonus damage while guarding doesn't make up for the loss of 15% bonus crit to HiB from eliminator, but would still be better than what the combat tech stuff has to offer, or Eliminator > Supercommando > Combat Tech for SS vanguard DPS in 1.3.

So if you want to stack DPS mods on supercommando gear, I'd still favor your crit and surge, but make sure you have at least 98ish% accuracy, because those HiBs tend to miss a lot. (~200 accuracy or so) I'd be interested to hear what you think of it if you do it.

He may not want to hear it, but it is the truth. If you want to DPS, go DPS. All you are doing is gimping yourself..fail tank and fail damage....waste of a team slot, imho...even moreso with 1.3 and SS.

That said, acc/crits/surge/power in my opion. I notice a drop in DPS if my accuracy drops below 100%.
