Bounty Hunter Week suggestions

Recommended Posts

Hello fellow players, I am back with a few suggestions on taking advantage of the bounty hunter event and they are as follows (Now is a great time to implement my suggestion its both bounty hunter week and night life event 7/16/2019 )

1 Use multiple characters to build up your reputation and get more than just one completed contract a day

2 Exit a strong hold to get to the fleet then use quick travel to get to the Bazaar and choose your contract

3 On the Imperial side if you can, do Hutta its the shortest.

If you can't do Hutta or don't want to then the rest of my suggestions are for you. They involve the planet Nar Shaddaa

4 Buy the strong hold for Nar Shaddaa both Republic and Imperial characters can use it and you can use it as a short cut at least twice sometimes more for the bounty contract. and it help with the night life event First-time Once you get the contract on the fleet you can travel to your strong on Nar Shaddaa then exit the strong by exiting to Nar Shaddaa and you are in the area your bounty client is.

Second-time After talking to the shady characters at the casino you can travel to your Nar Shaddaa stronghold and exit it again which will take you to the area to talk to your informant (it is just down the hallway where the social vendor is.)

Third-time Sometimes the bounty target is in the same area as your client but if it is not just travel to the target and beat it. Then just go to your Nar Shaddaa stronghold and exit to Nar Shaddaa again and you are back to your client area to finish the quest.

5 If the Nar Shaddaa night life event is going on I recommend taking on the Fair play quest before or right after you deal with the shady characters at the casino. You are in the same place the quest is easy and you get credits and exp based on your level(I get $14000 or so because I am level 70) and you get a king pin token to use at the slots. I would recommend standing in the center of the three gaming tables because you can check all the card at each table with out having to move.

6 once you finish the quest by talking to the client use the fleet pass to instantly travel to the fleet then use quick travel to get the Bazaar and turn it all in.

that's it I hope it helps feel free to share your suggestions and if you are looking for more tips check out my other threads. Thanks for reading you all are awesome.

For Heroic Mission suggestions I do these all in under an Hour

Fastest one on Imp side is Dromund Kaas. You'll need quick travel to Capital Planet (20k). Contact is short ride from your entry point. Then, do not go to Cantina, but travel to Kaas City Expansion. There are less people there and enough Shady Characters to complete the mission. Then use QT back to Cantina. The rest depends on the contract.

Hutta will be quickly unavailable for regular missions, so your advise is flawed.

Both of you are wrong about one thing. With the Galaxy Map changes, you can hop to the target planet trivially (appearing at the spaceport) using the little galaxy/planet icon by the mission in the on-screen mission list.

But Hutta has the advantage (if you are low-enough level, below 27 I think, or if you unlock the kingpin mission) that the NPC is right there in the spaceport when you arrive on the planet. You almost trip over him as you get off the shuttle.

Things to remember:

1) A character can run one henchman contract and one Kingpin contract each day during the week.

2) Henchman are repeatable, Kingpins are not. IOW, you can do the same henchman multiple times per week, but each Kingpin can only be done once per week.

3) Whether Republic or Imperial, if you want to maximize your gain, you need to do a henchman contract every day, and unlock/run a Kingpin every time you accumulate 5 completed contracts. Keep doing this until you have unlocked every Kingpin. It will take a few Bounty Weeks to unlock them all, but once you have every Kingpin unlocked, you can then do one Henchman and one Kingpin bounty every day of the event (almost), every time it comes around after that. Once you start doing that, the number of completed contracts you can collect will far outpace someone who only runs Henchmen, and never unlocks any Kingpins.

There are 6 Kingpins available to each faction. 2 are specific to the faction, and the other 4 are available to characters of both factions. (Republic get Ord Mantell and Coruscant, Empire get Hutta and Dromund Kaas, both sides get Nar Shaddaa, Tatooine, Alderaan and Voss). So once you unlock all the Kingpins, a character can complete 13 contracts per week.

Details:

The first week:

Do a Henchman every day Tuesday through Saturday. You have 5 contracts. Unlock the Ord Mantell* Kingpin, and run that one. Sunday and Monday run Henchmen.

End of week, you have 3 contracts.

(The henchman-only player runs one Henchman each day, Tuesday through Monday, and has 7 contracts).

Second week:

Do a Henchman and the Ord Mantell Kingpin on Tuesday. You now have 5 completed contracts.

Wednesday, unlock and run the Coruscant Kingpin, and run a Henchman.

Thursday and Friday run Henchmen.

Saturday run a Henchman, then unlock and run the Nar Shaddaa Kingpin. Sunday and Monday, run Henchmen.

End of week, you have 3 contracts.

(Henchmen-only has 14 contracts).

Third Week:

Tuesday, run a Henchman, and the Ord Mantell Kingpin, and unlock the Tatooine Kingpin.

Wednesday, run a Henchman, and the Coruscant Kingpin.

Thursday, run a Henchman and the Nar Shaddaa Kingpin.

Friday, run a Henchman, and the Tatooine Kingpin. Unlock the Alderaan Kingpin.

Saturday, run a Henchman and the Alderaan kingpin.

Sunday run a Henchman.

Monday, run a Henchman, then unlock and run the Voss Kingpin.

End of week, you have 1 contract.

(Henchmen-only has 21 contracts).

Fourth week:

Tuesday through Sunday run a Henchman and a Kingpin each day.

Monday, run a Henchman.

End of week, you have 14 contracts.

(Henchman-only has 28 contracts).

Fifth week and beyond, repeat the porcess from the fourth week. You gain 13 more contracts per week.

(Henchman-only gains 7 more contracts per week).

At the end of the seventh week, you will have 53 completed contracts, while the henchman-only player will have only 49 completed contracts.

After the eighth week, you will have 66 versus their 56. And every week thereafter, the gap will widen, by 6 contracts per week: 79 vs 63, 92 vs 70, 105 vs 77, and so on.

This will also help you maximize your reputation, as you get "purple" reputation tokens for completing the Kingpin missionss, in addition to the "blue" tokens you get for the Henchman missions. Of course, if you really want to build your reputation as fast as possible, do this on multiple characters.

*This is for Republic characters. For Empire characters, substitute Hutta and Dromund Kaas for Ord Mantell and Coruscant.

I am aware Hutta becomes unavailable but if you ruin multiple low-level characters like I do it's the best option(i]you can always create a new character.)

As for Dromund Kaas, I use to think that it was the fastest after Hutta but I found it annoying and time-consuming most of my bounties were way in the boondocks with no real quick way to get there.

I like Nar Shaddaa the bounty client, the informant and about half the time the bounty is in the same spot where you appear after you exit your Nar Shaddaa stronghold the only real traveling you do is to find the shady character at the casino which is a $75 taxi ride away from your stronghold exit area and if you choose to do the Nar Shaddaa night life event and repeat the daily fair play quest it makes the travel worth it.

Oh yeah, Hutta is the best and I use the star map all the time. I really only play the bounty hunters which start out on Hutta. I have few characters that aren't and most of those are republic they are the ones that got me into Nar Shaddaa and when my bounty hunters could no longer do the Hutta mission I pretty much just went to Nar Shaddaa I tried a few times Dromand Kass but found it annoying. In a perfect world, we would always be able to do the Hutta missions... sigh but we in a harsh reality the forces us to give up all our dreams on Hutta.

The Star Map is great but it cost like 600 - 1000 credits to use (excluding starting plants) I play with a few character most just for crafting and events.( I only have one I play for the sake of playing.) So a lot of the time they don't have a lot of money only what I get from fighting and completing event mission(which I usually send to my main guy) so I have to take that into consideration.

Thanks for your input I forgot to mention the Galaxy map as an option your on the ball man.

Don't do Alderaan is all I can say. At least on the Imp side. Had to go a very long way around to get the target.

Tatooine was good for my Imp, as everything happened inside or just outside Mos Isla. Rep side was a hassle.

Oh yeah man I hate Alderaan so much. I never did the bounties there but there was this one heroic mission that kicked my butt I can't remember the name but it was supposed to take like 7 -15 min but took me 45 I died 3 time two of those was falling off a pipe trying to complete a bonus. The third was after completing the bonus I found out I had to fight a boss level water monster. it wasn't too bad at first I cleared all the goons and took on the monster and got it to less than one-third health than all the goons came back and knock me out it sucked so bad. I beat it eventually but I swore I would never ever do it again. So yeah I just kinda stay away from Alderaan.

You make some great points thanks for your input. I never really bothered with the Kingpins because I usually meet my weekly limit on reputation fairly quickly. I also sell all my contracts on the GTN. I do have a question after reading your post. I get the impression that once you unlock a kingpin you don't have to spend more contracts to do that kingpin in the future is that true? If so then I am totally naming you MVP for this thread(This whole time I have been under the impression you had to buy the kingpin each time.)

As for the number of completed contracts, On a good day, I get about 10 a day playing for a few hours two maybe three tops it just depends on how many people are doing it at that time and how many characters you are willing to run. I normally just run my level 60 or higher guys during the week giving me 5 a day in under an hour. So I get 25 + 5 more the next Monday making it total 30 completed contracts for weekdays and another 24 for Saturday and Sunday with all my guys making it a grand total of 54 completed contracts during the whole one-week event. with your input on kingpins, I can possibly get a lot more rep, credits, and contracts so thanks again man.

Even if you hit your weekly reputation limit, you want to continue to accumulate the reputation trophies while the event is active so you can turn them in following server reset after the event has ended until you reach your cap that week, and the next and so on. Bottom line is the reputation gains can continue after the event has ended, so this is the fastest way to build up your reputation rather than stopping the accumulation of trophies after you hit your weekly limit.

This.

Alderaan is probably the worst planet as far as travel time to target. It's only worth doing if you're chasing after the achievements and title associated with capturing and killing all the bounty targets.

One other tip for newcomers involving Bounty Week is that each completed quest awards a Completed Bounty Contract item, which is used as a sort of event currency to buy cosmetic gear from the event vendor. They also are used to unlock the Kingpin Bounty contracts.

The "tip" however is that if you aren't interested in the gear, the kingpin bosses, or have already unlocked the kingpin dailies, you can instead sell the completed contracts on the GTN for a decent amount of credits. Right now on Ebon Hawk they're going for 200,000 to 250,000 each. If you're running the dailies with more than one character that adds up.

Yes, you only have to pay once (per character) to unlock the Kingpins. After they are unlocked, your character can do them every Bounty Week. Edited by Adric_the_Red

You could also sell the reputation you receive, to an in game vendor, once you hit legendary. It gets you an extra thousand credits per quest.

You can post here if it's a suggestion. If it doesn't fit as a suggestions go ahead and post a new thread. That doesn't bother me.

Truthfully I was going to use all the information you and the other players provided. I wanted to condense and make the thread a little more presentable, by using spoilers, separate categories etc. I felt like that would be inappropriate.

Is it just me or did the bounty contracts spike in price? Last time I checked, which was probably in December, they were 200k per now they're 400k per. As a seller I'm pretty happy, but I'm just curious to see if there is a correlation between this and the increase in F2P credit cap. On a side note does the BBA event end today?
