The main page history (on the page you linked, click "History" in the top right, then click "oldest" in the lower left) begins in October 2008.

 

And the reason why is that SWTOR players seem to lack the documentary enthusiasm and dedication of, say, Guild Wars 1 and 2 players, although in that case, it's helped by the fact that ArenaNet hosts (but does not write(1)) the wikis themselves, and has them linkable in-game.
