commando: difference between assault and gunnery spec

I've played combat medic right up to level 40. Everytime I try a warzone, I just get stun spammed and focused down since they notice me healing (no vanguards or tanks to partner with sadly), and during quests it takes a long time for my companion to kill hostiles. So I've decided to give dps a shot. What's the difference between gunnery and assault spec? Which is better for pvp? Edited by -Jetstorm-

In PvP, Gunnery is essentially Turret mode. You sit in one spot, and you can't move because 80% of your rotation is spamming Grav round.

 

Assault is arguably better since you don't have grav round, and are able to move a bit more.

 

But, I prefer Gunnery for PvE by a landslide, and since I don't want to break the bank by respeccing every 45 minutes, I just deal with the questionable PvP results.

 

Gunnery works for PvP, but it revolves around having good judgement and positioning.
