I will put up my vote for Lord Adraas. You will find guild events and/or casual rp in just about any zone. In my experience the erp crowd started to vanish after the first month. I know they are still there, but nowhere near as out in the open. My most memorable moment was watching two people rp all of the quests on Koribban. I often wonder how far they took that?

I am from Lord Adrass and I find RP all -over- the place! ^_^ I know back on WoW, my RP super server (MG-horde) tried to get as many to move to Lord Adrass and make it the Star Wars RP super server, and I got a bunch from WrA as well, and with my own personal experience with the new people I had not seen about on WoW, the RP is really great.

Well, Shien is pretty solid. Almost always RP going on in Carrick Station, Republic side. And I think we have quite a few guilds that RP as well.

Reminds me of two of my guild members a smuggler and a knight. They are constantly roleplaying something like this though most of the time it is in guil chat but they can get fun with it.

I'm on Sanctum of the Exalted and I think it's great. You really can't count on folks saying "I hate my server" because most folks *leave* if they hate their server, so getting an unbiased opinion is pretty unlikely...

 

Having said that...

 

Sanctum is great! It's great because there's a good community of people that are focused on cooperating to make Sanctum a nice place to play.

We have many guilds that fit a wide diversity of playstyles. Big and small, RP and no-RP, Imp and Rep (or both). The GLs are also in cahoots. We seek out other GLs and communicate about ways we can maintain our server.

 

We have lots of volunteers who've done a lot of altruistic work to create fun events and resources for other players.

Republicnet is the Republic IC channel, and Republicooc is the Republic OOC channel. These are server-wide. Imperialnet and Imperialooc are the Imperial equivalents. They’re generally quiet, until someone starts RPing and then a lot of folks chime in.

 

We have “enough” people that there’s always someone around. At peak hours, we range from 450-650 people on the server, and our Republic to Imperial ratio is very even. I'm on Ajunta Pall (or soemthng close to that) anybody else have rp'ing and guilds there? I have both a rep and sith ch. both very low lvl rep is a vangaurd trooper lvl 12 and sith is a sith warrior lvl 8 not even out of his wee little dark side diapers yet.

I‘ve looked up all the servers I‘ve seen mentioned here, but I‘ve yet to find an RP-PvP one. Can anyone recommend a good one?

I'm currently leveling on Lord Adraas and I see a lot of RP. Major cities seem to be mostly dull, the RP seems to be mostly spread throughout the galaxy. It's awesome, I love going to a quest hub and having the added ambiance of roleplay.

I moved to Lord Adraas and love it. In terms of RP-PVP, I did find some good pockets of RP on Jung Ma but still nothing compared to what I have found on Lord Adraas.

I'm thinking about rerolling my main on an RP server. I joined Harbinger so I could play with some RL buddies but they almost never get on this server anymore. Even though I'm almost 50, I got really into this character and would definitely not say no to playing through her story again. Sanctum looks like it's really nice and encourages good writing. Reaaaally hoping to avoid all the cybering and stuff. Any tips?

I say keep in mind that for a decent percentage of RPers, good ole sexy times is a big draw. With that being said, I have found that a polite sorry, not my RP style or if the scene fits the story I ask to FTB the sex part and move on to the next scene. I have found mature players will respect that request.

I don't know about cross faction chat honestly but i do have a smuggler on the Republic side. Her name is Elinor - I like to keep it simple LOL.

The opposite faction cannot see your custom emotes or whispers. The standard animated emotes and /say chat are visible to both sides, however.

I'll throw out a nod to the guilds trying to create a RP hub on Voss on Trask Ulgo EU server.

 

We have a thriving community which has taken its fair share of knocks over the past few months with many "big guilds" simply giving up on the RP aspect of the game.

 

There are a few guilds that are doing their bit to make it work and Voss nights are proving to be a real big draw.

 

Republic side we have The Enclave of Tython and the Kestrel Minority and on the Imperial side we have The Imperial Inquisition, The Hands of Darkness, Sodalicium, The Blackscar Mercanaries and Poorly Coordinated Companions.

 

We've got an organised "Guild Leaders / officers" community council that actively work together to pull this thing together and a working plotline unfolding.

 

It's still in it's infancy and had a shake up recently but now we are all working and talking together to make this work for the entire server.

 

So anyone thinking of an EU draw, Trask Ulgo is alive and well and building a really great community that works together.

Sanctum of the Exalted is the server Im on. none of my toons are past lvl 15 because I still cant decide ..anyway...i see a lot of RP even for starter worlds. not so much in general or the rp chat channel but if in a grp or if requested in general there is always someone that will PM you a response. When im in a grp I try to stay in character. No one has objected or told me to stop that rp crud.

 

Im on Imperial side so cant speak for Republic.

Every so often I see some "cantina talk" in carrick. Other than that, nothing. I dont see RP anywhere else on the server rep side, and I tried imperial side but their was so much OOC on the fleet i left for LA.

2) I was told the RP was really getting vamped up.

Hopefully someday server xfers will happen. Although I fear the legacy system will mess that all up and BW may never allow it.

You might want to check out the RP Events thread for Shien, it's got a list of RP events, recurring and one offs.

 

As for waiting an RP guild to approach you for recruitment, you might want to try going the other way. Look at one of them and apply there.
