More about Nestinar:

"Nestinar is an ideological self sustained paramilitary organization committed to preserving the Emperor’s vision for a strong imperial society and securing the advancement of the Sith Empire throughout the galaxy."

--~#~--

The name "Nestinar" comes from an ancient Thracian ritual and means "a person invulnerable to fire".

We are an ambitious guild that entered the BioWare pre-launch guild program on 11th November, 2011 with a small group of founding players. Now we are among the oldest active SW:TOR guilds in the world and have proven our stability. Our ambition is not to be the first to clear the latest endgame content, although endgame is a major part of our activity, but establishing Nestinar as a solid, more sophisticated community for people to have fun and genuinely enjoy their time spent together with respect to classic values where profanity and arrogance doesn't make you "cool".

Endgame (Operations/Raiding):

Weekly we have scheduled Operations on Wednesday Friday Sunday and Monday evenings with a duration of three hours. We have a Progression and Casual teams which play in Hard and Story mode respectively.

For operations progression we can currently accomodate 1 Tank, 1(2) Healers, 2 DPS.

We guarantee a calm and patient leadership during Operations where everyone can have fun playing the game with enjoyable company.

The use of voice chat is not required.

Our Operations Sign-up threads are publicly visible on the forum.

Progress:

(28.02.2014) All content is cleared, for details please see here: http://www.nestinar.eu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=1687

Ideology:

"If we accept the idea that in order to achieve our goals cruelty, violence, theft or fraud are encouraged methods, then our morality will rest on this principle and we will perfect all the actions that go along this line of thinking. We’ll be no better than the lowest criminal on Nar Shaddaa or the Sith apprentice who lost his mind. Any such action can be ascribed, at least in part, to a natural bad tendency that is an extenuating circumstance in result of the rapid expansion of the Empire in the recent years. After a millenia of peace and preparation the strikingly fast imperial conquest came as an overwhelming reality to many within the Empire and unlocked their subdued desires for power. Power, however, is a tool only for the hands of the most skilled of craftsmen. Those incapable of wielding it, but yet receiving it developed a corrupting illness of insatiable hunger for dominance. It is by the actions of such corrupt individuals that cruelty is done upon others, which in turn, corrupts them, spreading the illness until the whole galaxy dies by the infection, destroying the very purpose the Sith Empire is fighting for."

--~#~--

Our roleplaying theme is based on the conception that the Empire is not evil and we're fighting to bring justice and order to the galaxy. What we call "Ideology" is the driving principle that our members share, rather than a quiescent background in which people should fit their character stories. The ideology allows for greater flexibility and freedom when devising your stories and tales, while still adhering to a strong guild theme.

Nestinar presents a suitable home for Light and Grey Imperial characters and an opportunity for the Dark sided to be the antiheroes in our organization. If our philosophy interests you, we suggest that you to visit our website for a detailed read.

Rules & Ranks:

Nestinar has no ranks. Everyone in the guild is equal and equally valued. The Force using classes aren't ruling over the non Force users and there are no commanders to impose their will on anyone.

For the purpose of guild management, however, there are Officers. There is no difference in the privileges that the officers have, except that they are responsible to assist with any issues, invite people to the guild and watch over the civil and pleasant atmosphere.

Everyone joining Nestinar agrees unconditionally that:

  • Any form of discrimination and harassment based on nationality, sexual orientation, sex, race, age, religion, social status, physical condition, hair colour and others is forbidden.

  • Offensive language and attacking someone’s dignity regardless of cause and motive either In-Character or Out-Of-Character is forbidden.

  • All criticism is handled in a polite, patient and friendly manner without exceptions.

  • He or she respects other players on the server and if provoked by profanity and negative attitude shall not answer in the same means. Will use instead the in-game tools for reporting intolerable behavior to the Game Masters.

  • He or she shall not participate in acts that detract from the enjoyment of the game for others such as: ganking, camping, griefing, stalking, flaming, etc.

  • He or she understands the meaning of common sense and common etiquette and will abide to them.

  • All members are aware that going astray of these principles will result in expulsion from the guild.

Recruitment:

"Nestinar members are bound together by strong moral and ideological principles which ensure both our outstanding discipline and our appreciation of individuality. Every single member is the face of our organization to outside parties. Being a member of Nestinar sets high expectations and it is our goal to surpass them every time."

--~#~--

There are no class, level and playstyle restrictions. We will be honoured by your interest.

To join us you are welcome to pick one of two options:

  • Interview with an officer + Trial
  • Application on our website + Trial

- The trial begins once you are invited into the guild. It is a period during which guild members and you build impressions on each other.

- By default the trial lasts 1 month, which can be shortened to two weeks if the trialist displays good guild behaviour (being friendly, polite, helpful, active, responsible).

- In case of breaking Nestinar's Fundamental Principles during the trial, one warning will be issued.

Please be aware that:

  • You don't have to be a Roleplayer originally, we will be happy to help you learn the basics of RP, if you are interested.
  • You don't have to be interested in endgame, we accept social members.
  • You don't have to be an MMO veteran. If this is your first MMO game, we will help you settle in.
  • English may not be your native language. You will not be judged for imperfect grammar. (Not to be mistaken with lack of punctuation and text speak which are not related to your knowledge of English and we do not tolerate.)

You're free to be yourself. We embrace every person's uniqueness and believe that diversity enriches every social aspect of a guild.

  • We do have real life couples.
  • There are gay guys in Nestinar.
  • There are Muslims, Jews and Atheists.
  • We have diversity of nationalities from across Europe.

If any of the above points troubles you, we are not the right guild for you.

We welcome everyone interested in joining us to visit our website where they can familiarize themselves with the detailed guild information and contact an officer in-game or fill an application on our forum.

Thank you for your attention and may the Force be with you!

- Haderach, founder of Nestinar.

Currently our Operations team can accommodate Tanks, Healers and DPS. We have cleared hard modes of EV and KP and SM of Denova.

Of course, friendly players regardless of their interest in endgame are always welcome!

And by the way, pleased to see our thread was the first to get posted on the new server forums :jawa_wink:

Updated the original post.

Additionally, our expanding Operations team (from 8 to 16) is in high demand for DPS. Agents and Bounty Hunters are very welcome and will have little competition for gear. Good Sith applications will not be turned down, however.

Feel free to ask any questions you might have either on our forum or in game and don't hesitate to apply.

This is kind of an emergency update/bump to say that for the next week we will essentially be missing one decently geared DPS for a 16man team for Hard Mode Denova/Terror.

If you are thinking about joining, now is the perfect time to become part of the Operations team.

Also, our Operations schedule is getting expanded with one additional day! In addition to Sunday and Monday, we're now going to include Wednesday. The time remains the same - invites at 18:45 CET, start at 19:00 CET.

Haderach will update the first post with the new schedule as soon as he can.

Clarification: Of course as current members level up and get ready we will have more than the minimum number of people for the Ops team. But as we know a healthy team should always consist of more than the bare minimum of players. This allows us to sometimes skip Operations in favor of real life without leaving 15 other players unable to start, and also serves as a guarantee in case of connection failures that there will be someone to step in for the missing player. We have a special rule about reserves rotation which you can find on our website.

We successfully switched to 16man Operation team. Today, on the day of our guild's 1st Birthday we went to Denova Hard Mode as a group of 16 for the first time and loot was spilled.

We are still in a high demand for DPS. If endgame in the largest team composition the game has to offer and polite and friendly atmosphere sound like your style, don't hesitate to join us!

We are currently in a Holiday break until 5th of January, meaning that official hard mode progression operations are not organized until after that date. Regardless, we are still having a few operations every week during the holiday season for fresh level 50'ies and alts. You can keep track of our schedule on our forum, that part is visible to the public.

Nestinar has also published a unique roleplaying system that we've been hard at work on for months. It includes extensive character sheets with organized abilities, traits, inventory. Weekly scheduled events that follow a deep and consistent storyline with a narrator. It's private, however.

Not to mention the new festive fashion attire of our golden rancors... Come check them out!

Hello,

Would it be worth applying as a leveling tank? I'm just wondering as whether that would still give me a chance to run Ops with Nestinar as a tank, tanking is my favourite playstyle in MMOs and I just haven't had much luck finding a Guild in SWTOR.

Hello, MikanDelwynn,

I am sorry for the very late reply, we've been incredibly busy with very intense weeks in the guild, from operations to heavy RP.

As per your question, I am afraid we can't accommodate another tank at the moment. The tanking department is very healthy and there are no spots. If the DPS role is something that might also appeal to you then I can definitely say you will get to join our operations. Especially ranged DPS we need by the dozens!

This is a general update.

Nestinar is an active guild today as it has always been, an year and a half after our foundation we are in better shape than ever. We're proud to have very friendly, helpful, pleasant and skilled players who join together for anything from operations and heavy roleplaying to casual events, heroics or private RP episodes.

On May 5th ends our expansion break and the weekly scheduled operations will resume. Our members interested in the endgame are part of our Operations Wing which has a solid custom designed management and loot system in place, called Nestinar Reputation which rewards effort and regularity accordingly. We organize two teams on our operation days, one for hard mode difficulty and the other for more casual playstyles.

We are looking for more DPS classes!

The main Nestinar storyline functions with a Game Master and another custom designed system called The Sardaukar System, which offers players to further develop their characters via skills, abilities and traits that can be improved and developed in the course of the story, also inventories and attributes for specific and situational responsiveness in the various roleplaying situations.

More lore and roleplaying features are being worked upon currently, like:

  • An interactive galaxy map intended to emulate the in-game one, but with many other Nestinar points of interest around the galaxy;
  • Special sub-sections within the Nestinar organization to add even more depth to our characters and the guild.

Now is a great time to join Nestinar and become part of one of the oldest guilds in the game, that keeps improving and expanding!

We welcome you to check out our website and browse at your leisure, some memorable scenes can be found in the Gallery and our Ideology page offers an interesting read on our distinctive theme.

The address is www.Nestinar.eu - the Nestinar golden rancors await you!

Updated the original post. Officer names, operation days and progress information in particular.

You can check the details of our operations progress here: http://www.nestinar.eu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=1687

We have cleared Dread Fortress and Dread Palace in hard mode and are preparing to tackle the Nightmare Modes when they are released.

New members are welcome!

- If you're interested in the highest mode difficulty right away, we'll be expecting that you come prepared regarding gear, experience and attitude.

- If you don't have such a rich experience or haven't gathered the top gear yet, we'll help you learn and collect items via our training teams.

Currently we have spots for DPS and Healers. Exceptional tank applications will not be declined.

Hey folks, quick question. How strict are you on the RP requirement? I've been looking for a good guild to take up with now I'm getting towards end game content, but RP isn't really my thing. I have no problem keeping quiet and emoting from time to time, I'm just not looking for involved in-character dialogue.

My main is a sorcerer, currently lv52 and switching between healing and lighting for flash points as the roles come up. I'd be a pretty casual player - I don't have the time to commit to progression ops, I'm afraid. I could probably be goaded to a little light RP if it's a sticking point.

Obviously I'd apply through the proper channels, if things look good.

We are currently in high demand for TANKS. We can offer positions for two tanks, at least one of them must have extensive experience in that role, preferably in TOR, if not then experience from similar games is also welcome.

Greetings and thank you for your interest. Participation in RP and operations is not obligatory, we expect, however, that a member would be interested to get involved in guild activities to their liking. The choices include heavy/casual RP, progression/training operations, crafting, groups for flashpoints/starfighter/pvp/heroics, socialising on our forum or in-game - discussing the game/guild, offering insight, etc.

An example of a person not meeting these expectations is someone who logs, interacts with nobody and later logs out and neither does he/she check our forum. If you're not that type of player, you should have no concerns.

If you have further questions you're welcome to ask, additional contact information you can find in the first post.

Updated the original post mainly with changes to our recruitment process. All classes are welcome.

As a side note I'd mention Nestinar is prepared for the coming of guild capital ships with a massive amount of credits spread among few bankers and the guild bank. Just in case you are wondering whether or not we will have the best possible ship money can buy on day 1 - we will. :jawa_wink:

Hello everyone,

my name is Raiko (despite what that nasty Forum tag is trying to tell you).

I am the newly appointed Recruitment Officer for Nestinar and am just checking in to say that our great family is still recruiting.

Now of course I need to get to the sales pitch, enjoy the show:

  • Nestinar, founded on the 11.11.2011 is one of the oldest and most active Imperial guilds. We did acquire a flagship, christened Balhara, and are looking to expand and open all quarters of it.

  • The population consists of over 70 friendly and active members, which means a full 10% Experience and Reputatoin Bonus for everyone. Usually no evening goes by with less then 20 people online.

  • The guild is always helpful and will instruct new players and older player alike how they might improve their skills in certain aspects of the game. We have specialized Officers who can give advice on Healing, Tanking, Damage-Dealing and even Role-Playing!

  • While we do not in any way grind conquest points until our fingers and eyes bleed, we managed to get into the upper echelons of the Top Ten on every planet we invaded just by doing normal gaming.

  • We have a very well organized Operation-System with 3-4 Raid evenings every week. While Nightmare Modes haven't been our objective we had tons of fun clearing every HM in the game. And this is our focus in PvE: Fun!

  • We do have an Officer for Roleplaying, who is at this moment looking to restart our RP-Section and is always happy to receive people interested in Heavy-RP!

  • Finally we do have Darth Haderach, our beloved and worshiped chief and god. You will immediately take a liking to him, I assure you! You will! ....Okay, okay I wrote it! Happy now? Put the saber away already!

After telling you about all the perks that we can offer, you surely wonder if we would want to have you with us, so here you got an easy checklist, that should help with your decision to apply:

  • Question 1: Are you a friendly and mature person, but don't take yourself too seriously?
While we are certainly not a boring bunch that can't take a joke (quite the opposite), we expect our members to hold up a certain standard in communication with eachother and people outside of the guild.

  • Question 2: Can you put others and the guild in general above yourself?
We in Nestinar want to have fun as a group of like-minded individuals and we want to try to get everyone to have as much fun as possible. However, a selfish attitude that only focusses on your own fun will not get you far with us. Every member is as important as you are, from officers to newcomers. This is also reflected in our naming policy, while we do not have any limits for how many alts you can bring to the guild, we do have standards for their naming, which apply to everyone. If you are an officer or not, an alt called "Lordjedideathstar" or "Fiatbrava" will not be invited.

  • Question 3: Are you looking for a guild that values fun more than hardcore progression?
While we do raid with a serious intent and have an amazing success-rate if we put our heads and hearts into the game, Nightmare modes have not been a guild objective in the past. Rather we have dedicated our raiding to a broader approach, where we try to let every guild member experience the joy of succeeding in Hardmodes instead of going for a Nightmaremode clear at any cost. Through this our raiding speed is probably much more relaxed then a progression guild's which does reflect our guild culture as a whole.
Nevertheless we have a very dedicated Operation-leadership and a stable cadre of awesome players, who never forget to have fun while trying to come up with our own ways to beat content. We also do not enforce the use of voice-communication for raids in any way. You will be welcome to join our private TS server, but it will not be used to lead entire Operation-groups.

Now if you can see yourself answering the above questions with a strong "Yes", I will be happy to receive your applications and meet you!

To apply you can check our website (www.nestinar.eu) and post there or whisper me in-game. Usually if you check the Progenitor's "Who"-list and filter for "Nestinar" I am easily recognized as the guy that has "Rai" in it's name. Of course you can also send in-game mails to my main char "Raiko".

Hello again Meatbags and those that still want to be one!

It is my burden and joy to announce that Nestinar is still looking for new people to join our ranks.

The Balhara has freshly been redecorated with actual plant life for a more healthy working atmosphere (well... unless you get close to Hade's oriconian farn... it can get a tad overzealous in its nutrition intake, pets should not run free...) and we have restarted regular RP sessions. Our sheduled Operations are running perfectly and we are close to beating the new HMs!

Interested now?

Search for Nestinar in your Who-window and whisper the guy that carries "Rai" in his name (which will be me or any of my numerous alts), write an in-game mail to "Raiko", or follow the link in my signature to apply directly on our website!

I am looking forward to meeting you!

Greetings,

I'd like to expand on the Hard Mode progression recruitment - we currently can accommodate 1 Tank, 1(2) Healers, 2 DPS, see below for the details. We expect players with general awareness, knowledge of their class mechanics, ambition to always perform exceptionally and above all friendly, stable attitude and team spirit.

The schedule for progression is Friday, Sunday and Monday starting at 19:00 CET, duration of 3 hours. Two 8m teams run simultaneously.

Wednesday is a casual ops day when we go after classic content usually in 16m.

We use Parsec during operations.

We use a modified DKP system for loot distribution.

We seek the following:

One Tank

- Any class. Optimized gear rating 192, defensive stats suited for the respective class, no Endurance bloating. Comfortable threat generation above 3k on Operations dummy sustained for 2 minutes without using taunts and ops debuffs on the dummy.

One (two if exceptional) Healer

- Mercenary or Sorcerer, Optimized gear rating 192, stats suited for the respective class. Able to deliver 3.5k HPS of which 80%+ effective.

Two DPS

- Any class with the condition that for you "fun" constitutes in maximizing the potential of your class and do not play specs which are generally underperforming. Gear rating of 192 optimized for your spec. Able to sustain 3k DPS on ops dummy for 2min without applying ops debuffs on it.

Please note that the above values are minimums, you may be delivering above 4k dps, for example. That is to be expected and will be preferred instead of a 3k dps value.

Candidates will be welcomed on a trial. If interested or if you have any questions, please contact our officers: Haderach, Atara, Agvar, Azula, Raiko, Ixalia, Zerianna, Beckert. Alternatively you are welcome to apply directly on our website at http://www.Nestinar.eu

Of course regular members are always welcome, the above requirements only concern the HM progression teams.
