Republic squad stuck on LV-426.

depends if the blaster shots are able to cauterize the wounds and keep the aliens from bleeding acid.

Furthermore, the entire area is one big nuke waiting to happen, with weapons fire such as that going off.

Not quite the entire area, just the cooling tower.

So, they better make sure one guy carries everyone's ammo packs in a bag, and four of them have flamethrowers with the guy carrying all the ammo being stupidly near one of those flamethrowers. That way, no chance of weapons fire causing the cooling tower to go critical and nuke the area.

Given how there are creatures like the Xenomorph in Star Wars I'd go with Havoc Squad. Then given the time period Havoc Squad existed, there were beasts like those Colicoid Mutants on Balmorra and Kill'iks on Alderaan running amok. So from that standpoint Xenos don't seem to pose that big a problem.

The only thing new about the Xenos is Facehuggers and Acid for Blood. Plus The Troopers of Havoc wear fully concealed Helmets possibly made from Duraplast. Yes the Facehuggers can excrete Acid to breach the helmet, but I'm sure the Trooper can yank his helmet off in time.

Then the thing is with "ALIENS" was the Colonial Marines lost most of their men due to incompetence of Command. Gorman was a rookie commander and he froze up when trying to give orders to the squad when an accident occurred. While Gorman was trying to issue commands, they took out their Squad Leader while he was trying maintain order and that made them panic. Without any order chaos ensued and the Xenos took advantage. The only reason why the Marines got out of their was because Vasquez and Drake disobeyed orders and used their Smartguns and Ripley took over and drove the APC into the Nest.

Then combine that with the fact that their more powerful hardware was taken away from them, they had to use flamethrowers instead of their Pulse Rifles because of the Atmosphere Processor having some sort of Nuclear Exchange or something.

Then to make matters worse their Bigger Hardware, the APC and Dropship, were taken out right after the firefight that claimed most of their group.

Jace is a seasoned Vet, unlike Gorman, His men probably won't panic when **** hits the fan.

From what I've seen in the Trailers Havoc Squad can most likely manhandle a Xeno no problem, seeing as they can do the same to a Sith Warrior.

Then if stuff does go south, their more able to escape the planet unlike in Aliens where they came in on an automated ship with no crew and their only way off the rock blew up when an Alien snuck on Board and they had to have the android remote control one from the ship.

And Last but not least....They don't have Paul Reiser being a Corporate Arsehole trying to screw them over for a Percentage.

What I think many here are forgetting, not even the Predators could deal with the Aliens wholesale, any time they won, they still took massive casualties.

That's because Predators have an "archaic way" of hunting and fighting the Xenomorphs. They simply have more advanced technology than we have now which is why they are such a force in the games and the movies. Their sense of honor and spirituality gets in the way a lot of the time.

They use Melee Weapons instead of their plasma based weapons which could be used to combat Xenos very easily, because there is no honor or challenge in it. Then they don't interfere if it ruins the hunter honor, meaning if a squad of Hunters are losing against a mob of Xenos they don't interfere until the hunters are dead and they need to collect the bodies and erase all evidence.

They did use Plasma weapons against the Xenomorphs in both AVP films, and they were so utterly defeated in a flashback that they actually had to use their self-destruct to take as many of the hive as possible with them.

Oh and we know that the Predators have lost actual wars against the Xenomorphs due to sheer numbers, the Xenos simply reproduced too far for the Predators to handle, we don't know much else about their encounters though.

I'm going to change my opinion on Havoc Squad surviving on LV-426 they don't have nearly the right amount of Man Power to realistically survive that hive. How ever if a large detachment of Republic Spec Forces with readily available reinforcements, where sent in.... that's a different story.

On Rayla's Comment.

Yea..... when they had no choice. I also forgot to mention Plasma Castors have a very costly ammunition system. They can only fire up to a few shots before having to recharge their systems. That's another reason why you rarely see a Predator continuing to use his Castor in a single engagement. Those Predators using them to hold off that sea of Xenos were in last stand mode in AVP. Then there were surrounded on all sides and outnumbered HEAVILY.

The Blaster Repeater which some of the members of Havoc possess can fire a lot of shots within a minute and has a good ammo capacity. Unlike the Plasma Castor.

Then If you look at that flashback scene there were literally billions upon Billions of Xenos en massing on the pyramid in a Sea of Black. LV-426 shouldn't even have that many in the first place. The Xenomorph number count on LV-426 is limited to the population of the Colony they took over which would have been in the low hundreds. You wouldn't see that many Xenos on LV-426 unless for some stupid reason they sent colony after colony to the Derelict ship.

Then there are creatures in Star Wars that behave similar to Xenomorphs too.
