Class Changes Coming in Game Update 2.7

One thing to keep in mind is that Game Update 2.7 marks the end of Season 1 of Ranked Arenas. You will notice quite a few of these changes are targetted at PvP specifically, it is our goal that you will typically see "bigger" Class PvP changes between seasons.

If your goal was to make juggernauts and guardians even more useless in ranked, and WZs in general: mission accomplished. Focus was already garbage in ranked; no need for further explanation need on that.

 

The fd/ed changes are just stupid. FD and ED is an excellent mid level defensive cd, which was only being hurt by the initial focus/rage cost. Simply eliminating the initial focus/rage cost would have been sufficient. Show me where guardians and juggernauts were asking for another strong defensive cd on a long timer.... This is a serious overall survivability hit, especially to vig/veng, to an already squishy DPS class.

 

And giving defense/immortal another strong defensive cd? They already have the best cds ingame. The reason no one wants them in pvp is because they hit like a wet noodle.

Holy living ****, BW. Do you even care that you are killing melee in pvp or do you just like alienating people all the time. Seriously. I have never seen this amount of pvp kill since the end of the Vietnam war!

Half of what you said makes no sense, but I won't entertain you. It doesn't seem like you play this game much if you complain about the changes to exfiltrate, smash, melee and pretty much everything you listed.

Those who had problems with Scamper, Smash and melee in general are just bads. This nerf patch goes to show you that BW has absolutely no idea what they're doing.

Let me guess, you only play Marauder (Smash) and Operative (healer) or a Sniper!

So you yourself don't have to deal with any of that, instead your on the dealing end.

But there are players who actually like other classes, not just because their are the best in game.

It's ok Cash...they probably just looked at the classes on the PvP Leader Boards and made changes to those classes...I can see how we were overlooked.

I want them to fix how rapid shots targets self. Currently you don't have to have a target to self heal. Rapid Shots, you actually have to click on your own portrait to use. If they fix this, and power surge etc. for dps classes, then all will be well. Maybe add some more DR for dps mercs.

It was reported on PTS, and ignored. So I assume its working as intended. I just bound a key to "target self" and use that, works well enough.

On top of the Polarity Shift immunity they should increase Forceweaver to 4/6% which would almost bring Sorc healers in line with Operatives.

 

When ranked was 8v8, being a cast heavy healer didn't bother me that much. But in 4v4 it's a pain. A big alacrity buff would help fix that.

In your opinion, juggs are far from useless if played the way they can add value and excel but some like yourself want it filled with PvP crutches so compensate for your lack of coordination and your action bar tunneling game play style.

 

All you do is whine and QQ about everything and attack any one who shares any view about Jugg/Guard game play that does not call for massive buffs....Players like you destroy PvP by removing all the fun from it!

Nice to know smash is getting nerf. But what about the class the need some love the most? Shadows/Assassins?

And NO, buffing a filler skills does not count....

specifically for inBalance/sadness

nerf that damned filler to the ground, you can start by removing the bonus surge

after that's done fix the spec's DPS up to where it has to be.

 

there are plenty abilities Balance Shadows have absolutely no use for, before you Increase the Damage of abilities we are using already try integrating one of the ones we currently can not use without screwing ourselves over into Balance gameplay.

 

 

take a Look at the Talents you moved, removed and or replaced with 2.0, most of these needed Buffs/Bugfixes instead of being removed/replaced and were far superior to what replaced them in terms of interesting gameplay, userfriendliness and effect.

 

your main aim for the 2.0 changes was to make the spec easier, you failed, horrendously.

the first thing you should have done when that became apparent was to undo the fails then you should start thinking about why so few Balance Shadows get the most out of their character why even they are so far below what some other classes have and what to do about it.

Hi, I have a question concerning impact of class changes for Guardian/Juggernaut PVE Tanks. Right now, it seems that since our two most often used abilities to maintain AoE threat (Force Sweep/SMash and Cyclone Slash/Sweeping Slash) will no longer damage secondary targets for those extra 10%, they will also generate less AoE threat. Is that so, or will aggro generation of these abilities remain untouched?

Actually no Changes to my Madness-Sorc...good good........wait no, this is more than bad. Actually only its for Sorcs and Sage only the Mid-Tree. THe Problems on Madness/Balance are not fixed and the Healers are not buffed.

 

This looks actually more like a fail Bioware. If you BW don't want to fix the Force-Problem so give us dot-players at least a DPS-Buff so thats make it worth. :mad:

You don't know that, yet. This is what we call being paranoid.

 

Some of us at launch did not jump on the popular ban wagon of Jedi, sith, smuggler, and agent. We went trooper or we went bounty hunter. Here is a small history lesson as to why I for one absolutely paranoid when it comes to pvp development when it concerns the trooper. We had a long time ago a ability called blitz. You tagged the enemy player with cryo grenade then knocked their sorry *** back wards. That gave us exactly two knock backs, one stun, and a long charge up stun. Biowares solution, even though you can not call the commando a cc class, they messed with the cryo grenade so blitz no longer worked with it. This gets better soon after they had their reason to get rid of it.. I swear to this day cryo grenade does not work as well as it used to. So yea I dont trust them worth anything.

 

As far as these changes go why should they care. They keep commandos and mercs as cannon fodder for the little jedi/stih and operatives/scoundrels. Hell even focusing on a scoundrel/operative healer and you will be out of ammo. On the bh end overheated before you know it. That brings me back to the ammo and heat change, that was supposed to make things better. Funny how I run out of ammo now more then I did before. keep in mind this is just me I am sure others have plenty of other experiences and stories then I do.
