Character Name <Guild Name>: Ash'ley <Animas Fidelium>

Character Class: Sentinel

Character Spec: 5/31/5

Torparse Link: http://www.torparse.com/a/54300/time/1353541994/1353542302

I am about half geared by 27 mods with both dreadguard weapons atm.

Can u upload a log where u start at 0 focus, cause since sentinel isn't my main class i'm still trying to figure out some stuff, and logs give out many specifics on rotations and secondary stats that could hep me

I can parse something for you. :-)

Anyway, solid combat spec rotation has two rigid parts.

One part is precision slash + master strike + bladestorm (the moment when MS finishes). You need only 3 focus on this one.

Second part is zen + precision slash + 3 blade rushes + blade storm. You need 6 focus and 30 centering to do that. If you want more dmg with more risk you can use 4 blade rushes, it's theoreticly possible, but due to ability delay and blade storm slownes you will hit blade storm in armor penetration window about half the time if you are good.

You execute one of this parts whenever is precision slash of cool down. Priority is the master strike one (you should rotate those parts but if you mess it up MS part is better).

Now you need to add some fillers between precision slash cooldowns. I use cauterize on cooldown, bladerushes and focus builders. Try not to over focus with strikes, it's a dps loss. But after PS cooldown you need to have appropriate ammount of focus for rotation strong part.

About zen, if you have talent that you build 4 centering with every focusspender, you will have 30 centering after less then 30 sec (right for another second rotation part). Unless you use inspiration or transendence. Then you have to use valorous call to get centering for the second rotation part.

Important is to use precision slash with the second attack at the same time (cause PS is of global cooldown) and not wait till animation is over.

So when you start with 0 focus you leep to target, you are at 3. Enough to execute part one and you can go from there. Do NOT use inspiration if you start with 30 centering you got from valorous call. You want have zen for the second part and it's higher dps loss than gain. What I sometimes do with stationary boss fight where I want to buff my teammates with inspiration is that I cancel it from my buffs so my centering will recharge.

Hope this helps. :-)

Combat spec seems to do more dps. However, watchman is just best for PvE with the passive heal. Guess I need to make a dps test in combat spec then. :)

Combat does more on a dummy but when i see a combat sentinel out dps me in a raid i'll respec :D Watchman ftw!

UPDATE

Tman <Outbreak> - Sentinel - Watchman 31 /3 /7: 2144

Log Link: http://www.torparse.com/a/62436/time/1354436963/1354437292

AMR Profile: http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/character/23201aab-e746-4fd5-89a0-41965c6224e5

Wasted tons of Adrenals to make loads of tests. In the end it's all about luck with your crits. Compared to my last dps test I raised my crits by ~4% which gives me +70 dps. I am done now, don't think I will have more luck than this. That's the maximum I can do as a Sentinel in Watchman tree. :)

Moved the time around on your log a bit, it was actually a 2160 dps.

Ok, I guess I have reached my limit too. Full dreadguard, switched to exotech stims and adrenals, nearly no lag. Still, didn't have pilgrim buff so I belive 2,2k dps is doable with a lot of luck.

*** is lightning spike? You got 50 dps from that alone, which would bring your real total down to 2129. I'm curious what that is because i've never seen it on a parse 0.o
