Probably best to avoid Diplomacy as it has fewer missions that suit your chosen alignment per grade. Really, there's no difference from the point of view of the mission skill directly giving companion gifts. It might be that one *also* allows you to sell the non-gift mission rewards (gemstones for TH, lux fabrics etc for UT) for more profit, but I can't answer that. (If you can make more profit, you can make more credits to use to buy gifts from the vendors.) But I don't have the information necessary to answer that, because I only use these skills to provide materials for my own crafting purposes, so I have no idea what sells, nor for how much.
