If we take a look at the Stivastin trophy (for those among you that cleared Manaan's last boss with the boss outside the fire at death) we could see Stivastin standing in some place that looks like the Manaan SH on the trophy in the link.

Is the Manaan SH somehow implied to be bought from Stivastin's estate then?

Probably not. Manaan's architecture is very sameish, and it's worth noting that the place you arrive when you land on Manaan for its segment of Forged Alliances looks very much like the default entry point of the stronghold.

It may be crazy, even based on the Stivastin trophy, but could Stivastin have been, prior to the Manaan portion of Forged Alliances, deep in debt from building the SH and reluctantly accepted to become a Revanite test subject in an attempt to pay off the resulting mortgage? (And only then did Stivastin even become anything remotely resembling a FP boss)

It's possible, of course, but it seems a bit of a stretch.
