Please change default sort for GTN search results to UNIT PRICE in ASCENDING order

With that in mind, I am going to pass these ["GTN Scam"] issues back to the dev team and see if there is anything we can work towards in the future for the GTN to help alleviate these issues.

Please suggest to them, when you pass this along, that they change the default sort for all GTN search returns to be by UNIT PRICE and ASCENDING (i.e., lowest unit price is displayed "first" at the "top" of the results). This is the desired behavior and the sensible default that buyers and sellers both would want and expect.

The present default is either unsorted or sort descending, which is almost never what anyone who is buying or selling an item wants or needs to see. And because of the wonky behavior of the sort arrows, it takes several clicks to force the list to actually sort ascending by unit price. Often the unit price column doesn't even respond to the first click, and the column to its left has to be clicked, pointlessly, before you even can sort by unit price. And once you do get it to sort, you have to click and click again, because first it sorts DE-scending, and then only sorts A-scending when you flip the order with a second click.

Sorting out this UI and making a more sensible default for all search returns would go a long way to sorting out the pricing "scam" problems, to the extent that they are fairly even labeled as "problems" and not simply user error. It would improve the behavior for all users, and it would likely save some people from incautious or over-hasty misclicks on items that are priced far above what they reasonably expect to pay, since those results will not be plonked illogically at the start of the results rather than at the end where they belong.

It's also simply the way that the system ought to work, and it follows the elementary UI principle of always assuming a sensible default, rather than forcing the user to take several actions to get the expected and desired behavior.

Yes, the OP's second paragraph exactly describes all the current small bugs and nuances of the current GTN system once a player hits "search."

Having the default consistently be "unit price ascending" would save everyone a lot of additional clicks when shopping.

REAlly??? and this couldn't be put in the other thread .... you just had to make a whole new thread for it ?

Wrong its utterly completely and totally user error . No one forces you to push the buy button if your not paying attention that's your own problem and you proved its user error in your other statement

............sighs yes Bioware must make this urgent fix becase clicking a mouse a few times is just too hard ... ... omg and you expect me to take some responsibility for what i am doing ....thats totally unreasonable Bioware what are you thinking . everything not perfectly set up so i can just make purchases with my eyes shut ... this is such an urgent change the devs must stop all the insignificant things they are doing and this must be put at the top of the list.
