Does anyone know if there is a way to use the same customization settings across different characters? Such as chat settings (custom colors / text windows), UI settings, etc.

 

I wasn't able to find an option for it, so I started digging around in the folders to see if I could just copy my mains settings folder over, but was unable to locate any place that looked like it was specific to my characters.

I'll second the desire for this functionality.

 

I play with ~40 keybinds

SWTOR does not have a "keybind mode" where I can quickly hover over buttons and press keys to bind (I use addons for this feature in WoW)

Replicating the keybinds across multiple toons is both tedious and inaccurate, since I must remember where I place every bind.

There's some .ini files in %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\settings that store settings like chat colors, channels, and quickbar visibility. Unfortunately I haven't found anything that stores key bindings, which would also be helpful; that may be server-side only.

I'm ok with keybinds not saving. I understand why you would want this, but when I'm not playing, my brother is. We definitely use different settings.

Key bindings are stored server side. When I switched between my laptop/desktop, the key bindings persisted.
