Couldnt agree more with the OP...

I just got to Taris, and I believe there are a total of 8 loading screens if I want to go from Taris to someplace else, like imp. fleet, and back.

No content watsoever (or "immersion" as some for some strange reason call it ) ...just running through empty rooms with loadscreens between them.

Whoever designed the travelling part of this game should lose his job,in my humble opinion :/

I can't wait for the day we can cut off our legs and just be moved around instantly with the press of a button. Just create a bunch of boxes we can teleport into, and drop the stuff that leads to them. All this "environmental" design is a dead end! Laziness must be the true standard to build a game on!

Just get rid of the *********** orbital stations. Seriously. Having to go through 3 loading screens + a minute of running to get from my ship to the surface when 1 ought to do is just plain stupid and only serves to artificially slow down the pace of the game.

while we at it please give me an instant level 50 button, and instant epic gear button and an instant achievement button.

after all leveling and farming does not add to my immersion

also they should think about the possibility to craft and wear top hats and other funny looking hats

The number one problem I have with this game right now is accessibility. forcing players to travel through 4 (sometimes 6 loading screens to get to an area and begin questing is very cumbersome, resource intensive and just plain not fun. It means I have to make a major decision if I want to return to my ship to run space missions, knowing it will take a bout 15 minutes of loading screens to return to the area I am questing at.

These loading screens serve no purpose unless they trigger a story event.
My proposal, abolish all hanger bays from normal play. If I am in the republic fleet and I click my hanger, have me zone directly in my ship. (And while you are at it send me to the map room, I don't want to run all over my ship to travel)

In the event there is a story triggered then and only then take me to the hanger bay.

This will improve my game experience a great deal. Thank you for reading.
Your game improbement will ruin my game. I like the traveling. I like running to my hanger and approaching my ship from the outside. I like having different areas inside my ship. I don't want instant travel everywhere. Leave it like it is please.

Oh and claiming 15 minutes of loading screens is a wee bit of an exageration isn't?
Mal - Define interesting.
Wash - Oh God. Oh God. We're all gonna die?
Mal - This is the Captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence. So we may experience some slight, turbulence...and then explode.

I agree for the most part.

In part I would like to travel faster (minus lots of loading screens)

In part I understand the RP effect this has

In part I dislike going through all fo this when i just need to visit a planet for 1 quick thing.

In part i took the "In Part" thing too far.

My computer doesn't have an SSD, yet. but the longest loading screen I've had is usually when i first log in, and it ony takes 2, maybe 3 minutes tops. While I agree that all the layers in order for you to access your ship can be a bit tedious. It's not like it's a gamebreaking issue. I'd much rather have Bioware focus on a more customizable UI, or allow third party addons in order for us to customize the UI.

quck travel point in the hangar is a good idea in my book. Still has consequences if you use it.

The only thing I think they could get rid of is the need to actually launch the ship in order to be inside of it. For example, if I need to access my vault, why do I need to launch my ship into orbit in order to do so? That's not only an excess of load screens, it also doesn't make sense.

The Travel process itself is great. It wouldn't feel nearly as much like SW without it. I suppose I can understand that 30 sec load screens are too much, but it's not because the game sucks, it's because your computer is severely dated.

My load screens only take 5 seconds.
You can access you're cargo hold from special lock boxes on the fleet, as well as most, if not all of the planets you land on.
