No it wont be forgotten or dead in a year it's a good game that has some problems but it's still a good game. SWTOR's purpose is to provide us with sustenance until the release a legion xpac for WoW (hopefully just after the fudgin pandarens) or until project titan is released in 2014. Until then SWTOR is fine.

Thankfully, not everyone enjoys that kind of gameplay. I did enough of that grind in WoW, SW:TOR is a breath of fresh air.

considering the success of kotor 1/2, mass effect 1/2, dragon age 1/2, there is no way in hell that this game will not entirely satisfy the biggest segment in gaming market. the immense number of subscription increase post launch confirms that.

it may not meet expectations of raidfest geargrinders. but then again, not only they are a tiny demographic in gaming market, but they also grow tired of repetition after a while. something that you can see voiced even in posts in wow's own official forum. (big heresy there).

Also the expansion of swtor for 2013 will set the record for pre-orders in mmo history.
WOTLK sold 2.8 million copies in 24 hours
CATA sold 3.3 million copies in 24 hours

I hope SWTOR experiences that same 'failure'.

The PVP is pissing me off. Atleast in WoW, lowbies got to play other lowbies, and not decked out people in gladiator gear.

In before L2P, it's amusing to see skill-less wonders telling me the system is ok, they just prefer to play against low levels because they lack the skill to face another 50.

Already removed my sub, waited from 2008 and this game is nothing that I thought it would be.

In before fanboys who can't look at anything objectively.

vanguard hits really close to home for me...even in all its terribleness i still love that game with a passion..i had some amazing things happen in that game.sadly sony bought it and crippled it so it wouldn't compete with eq2 so we will never know its full potential..
