meh...it will be played but the player base will shrink alot when diablo3 and GW2 come out..its a good rpg game but it really isnt that great an mmo...instance after instance after instance..it shouldnt take me 5 minutes of instanced walking to get from a fleet ship to a planet....walk to docking bay...docking bay to ship..ship to orbit station...docking bay to planet shuttle...way to much instancing.i could go on for days but thats my big one.the game will still be played chunks of its player base will leave by the time gw2 diablo3 and planetside 2 come out.

This game will be merging servers in 3 months time. It is all ready bleeding players.

rofl FFXIV hasn't even merged servers yet and they had one of the worst MMO launches ever.

Sure. They are losing players while everyone is automatically subscribed for one month. You have to tell me how they are doing this trick.

I wish SWTOR all the best and perhaps I'll be back down the road at some point, but overall I'm unimpressed with many of the design decisions made.

I will most likely be playing Guild Wars 2, The Secret World and or possibly ArcheAge.
The best work never was and never will be done for money.

its not a simple case of being lazy...its just unnecessary for all these load screens.i guess true mmorpgs have spoiled me with actual open worlds

If TOR fades into a F2P game in a year from now, the sad thing is WOW will probably get the credit for killing yet another MMO. But the blame should squarely be placed on EA for forcing the game out this holiday season. Another few months of polish would have gone a long way to improving the UI, multiplayer experience, etc.
