Hello.
Shiven V. wrote me this, because my wife can't use any ref link. She used a ref link in 2019 last time.

"I have reviewed your case and would like to inform you that I have investigated on my part and after verifying all the links on your account I would like to inform you that your account some how is bugged on the use of referral links which is the reason you are not being able to use a link to get the 7 days comp time or bonuses, I know its your first referral but somehow its stuck at the referral you clicked for your Husband's account last year and recogonising all the links as the same, I have relayed the bug internally which can only be rectified by the studio team"
"I know this is not the resolution you were hoping for but any issues with the refer a friend program is handled by our studio team and only they can rectify any bug if its happening on tbeaccount so I request you to kindly report the issue as a bug so it can be rectified in the future update till then the only way you can enjoy the sunscription perks is by actually subscribing to the game, please follow the instructions on how to report the issue to our developers, to submit a bug, you can type /bug in your chat window or select Bug Report from the drop down when creating a new ticket in the In-Game Help Center. If you've done that already, we thank you for doing the same. "

Help us please. Thank you.

100 % sure its broken ? or as intended ?

from the fine print at https://www.swtor.com/info/friends
New SWTOR players who participate in Friends of SWTOR who remain Free-to-Play players are not eligible to participate again.

so if that account was F2p and used a referral , that account is ineligible to participate again

you keep quoting that post, yet refuse to acknowledge that SUBS are paying other SUBS to use ref links, and getting the benefits, while other NON subs, who weren't players have followed that rule, yet have not been able to get their cartel coins, or neither have the people who's refs they clicked. It's been posted here, and bug reports, yet, we just get some random bull, that has nothing to do with the issue, or a reply which is similiar to yours.
You know you can't fix an idiot, turns out you can't quarantine them either!!!
Feel free to click the link and get all the usual goodies

Respectfully, Owen does not work for BW, they are not an employee of EA, they are a fellow community member who volunteers their time to help others with support issues. They have acknowledged in prior posts that subs clicking referral links is not the intent of the referral program. Firstly, whether Owen acknowledges it or not is irrelevant because they can't do anything about it (being that they're not a BW employee), and second, whether it's allowed, or it's intended to work that way, even if it's not the intent of the program, is not something that Owen can answer. That has to come from BW themselves and they have been silent on the issue. BW being silent on a issue has, in the past, meant that it's okay, that it's not okay and they're going to take action later, or that they're unaware and just finding out. So, basically, BW being silent on something can mean anything, but the fact that selling referral link clicks has been going on for so long, and BW certainly is not ignorant of that, one can assume that either they're okay with it or they just don't care. Owen has also acknowledged that there is an account issue that prevents some accounts from using a referral link. That is also something that can only be handled by someone within BW. Not by a community member volunteering to assist other community members with support issues.

If you have an issue with subs selling their referral link that is something you need to take up with BW, but so far it seems like they don't care.
