It would be a great addition to all mission to inform this new construct of planetary scaling... to allow a player to view the mission and state suggested minimum level for completion and possibly the gear rating minimums to allow players to make an informed decision about completion/gearing for that content.

1. It's not new, planet sync has been around a few years now. You can tell if a mission is appropriate for your level by its color. White is easy, yellow is slightly above you but doable, orange is going to be a chore and you may die, and red is laughably stupid to attempt solo (you'll not damage anything and will go down fast).

An example of this would be as a level 10 going to Coruscant to attempt the heroic at the Jedi temple. The mobs there when you first arrive at the temple taxi are a combination of level 15 and 16 will be red to you, and you and your companion most likely won't survive. The mobs turn orange I want to say at level 11, maybe 12, and the heroic is doable (not necessarily a cakewalk) by 13.

2. Loot, gear, and experience scale with the player's level, regardless what the player's adjusted level is for a given planet.

For example, at level 75, I am synched to I think 12 on Tython, but when I complete Chamber of Speech (the heroic there), I get a full 23K credits for the mission, not the measly credits dropped had I played the mission as an actual level 12. Same goes with armor drops. They still are trash, but they're closer to my 75.

3. The galaxy map indicates the level range of a given destination. Just click a planet to see the level spread. When it comes to PvE on planets:

3a. if the planet is above your current level, then you will want your gear to be as close to your level as possible. The greater the level spread between you and your gear, the worse off your DPS and survival rate.

3b. If the planet is below your current level, then any gear approximately the level of the planet's sync is good enough, and sometimes more than adequate, since your endurance, power, and mastery will all be capped based on the current planet's level. Your accuracy, shield, defense, alacrity, and presence are not capped (but there are diminishing returns for making them sky-high).

For operations, the lowest level being 70 to participate, you will feel squishy if your item rating is below 280 in story mode. For hard mode, you'll definitely want to achieve 306 for your gear rating, and be augmented, preferably with at least 276 augs.

In English, a leading X on a word is pronounced like a Z. (zorDEVoro).

Not Planet Sync, a message tool tip... for all missions saying this was or is a 40 area... Like a suggestion....

Except that the essential information: "you are at roughly the right level for this content" or "the mobs here will turn you into a thin red paste(1) and/or explode you like a blood sausage(1) just by looking at you" is encoded in the mission information in the log. Not to mention:
* It's really hard to be hugely underlevel these days. Not impossible, but really hard.
* If you're really far underlevel, the NPCs in question won't even talk to you.
* Level Sync (not Planet Sync) makes the question mostly moot anyway. There still a few missions that are normally grey, indicating that they are so far under your level that you'll get six XP for completing them, but only a few.

(1) Way far back in the day, around 1988, I played what is now Wasteland 1 but was then just Wasteland (because Wasteland 2 took another 26 years to come out), and these two brutally graphic combat-result lines just ... stuck in my head.

To go to Belsavis, you must go to Belsavis.
I never had a Fine Mithril Sword of a very powerful glorious invincible hero scout with ruby inlays and platinum engraving in June language
