Trader Filter ...

Is it really too much to expect after 9 years that Bioware will ever manage to install a reasonable filter for traders?
This is all just a joke! You are eternally searching for single items or e.g. armours that belong together.
A simple input filter would make this a lot easier.
Are the developers at Bioware so incompetent that after 9 years they haven't even begun to do what is already available as basic configuration in every cheap game?

I'm a little unclear what, exactly, you're asking for, and what a "trader filter" actually is.

With that said, I don't think calling developers incompetent is a great way to get your suggestion added to the game.

I think it's a request for better tools for searching the GTN.

To go to Belsavis, you must go to Belsavis.
I never had a Fine Mithril Sword of a very powerful glorious invincible hero scout with ruby inlays and platinum engraving in June language

we could definately use better tools for searching. especially in an area where there are craftable, and cartel market items lumped together. like dyes, I'd like to be able to see what cartel dyes are on the gtn, don't need to ee crafted, as I can craft them myself. So an option just to see cartel stuff would be great.
You know you can't fix an idiot, turns out you can't quarantine them either!!!

Sorry if my English is not the best. I mean the dialogue at merchants where you can buy items.
Already after starting SWTOR, one asked for an input filter to make it easier to sort out items. That was 9 years ago!
And what would you call someone who couldn't get it right after 9 years? Ignorant or incompetent? In my country such a person is usually called incompetent when he cannot get something done.
And developers are not gods! They also have to understand criticism when they are not able to create something, or just too ignorant! So what would you like?
I play SWTOR for fun in my spare time and pay for it every month. And I don't have time for this all the time, so my time is precious. So I can also expect the developers to fix bugs and other things. New content is nice, but you should also fix bugs or things like this filter in the merchant dialogs.
Instead, I often stand in front of a merchant and look for example for all parts of an armor together or for a single item in his dialog and that's just a waste of time. But maybe this is what Bioware wants. It wouldn't surprise me... I do not have a great opinion of Bioware. They used to be better!
Is it really that hard to implement an input filter for a database query or a dialog display?

BTW:
There are still other good MMORPGs out there that are also constantly improving their content. But I like the SciFi environment, so I returned to SWTOR. But what I see is a lot of new content, but many little things that haven't improved until today.
I'm not dependent on SWTOR, I only play it because of the SciFi environment. But I might as well put my money into another MMORPG if I think it is better supported.
Bioware is dependent on its customers, not the customers on Bioware!
