No matter which sequence of 8 hours they choose to do it in - a vast group of players are always going be affected by it and unhappy about it. That happens to be us. Stop whining about it. Play BF3 or Skyrim in the meantime, or something.

oh my f**king GOD are you seriously KIDDING ME???????????? have you NEVER played a frigging mmo before?????? its just a frigging patch or maintenance to make the game more ENJOYABLE for YOU. Im in the UK and ive played MMOs for a long *** time and all games ive played have done the same. GROW A PAIR and just suck it up! the majority of gamers for MMOs are in the US, like around 57% of them, that means they have to work with them! The servers are down when you should either be ONE: at school, or TWO: at work, if you dont go to school and you dont work then maybe you should get a frigging job!

Now quit the ************ down on something that is STANDARD on 99% of all MMORPGS!

<end rant, unsubs from this post due to whining gits will flame me for being right and destroying their "im entitled!!!!" response and "shut up you n00b gaye lord!" replies.>

I fully support this.

Why?

Because tears are delicious.

I'm not saying my fellow EU cousins point of view is wrong. Remember this maint window effects me too. Just pointing out, we have no idea what the reasons are. Sure, would splitting the server updates make more sense? Indeed it would. Do I see it happening? No, I don't, at least not for the foreesable future. Could the EU cust's demand an earlier patch time...say like 11pmCST (12am EST)...sure. Would Bw do it? Maybe. I mean you don't typically see 8hr maint windows, its usually4-6 hours. Think this one is just bigger due to content updates coming out or bug fixes, but thats my opinion.

I realize that even 4-6 hours would still interfere with game time. But regardless of splitting the servers or not, your still going to have downtime, and your still going ot have unhappy people. Can't please everyone.

No, the customer is usually an idiot who has no clue.

If BW would split the server downs, then what would happen?

The people that have downtime would swarm the serverīs of those who dont. Which would end up in a lot of qqqq.

Wow is different, there you cant play on us serverīs with an EU account - so dont mention this as an argument, its flawed.

I think MOST gamers are in the far east actually... Over 6million subs to wow in that area, compared to 5 million in the entire west (US and EU combined!).

Also, even if you take your numbers into account - just because 57% of people are in the US doesnt mean that it is right or sensible to upset the other 43% - thats a hugely sizable proportion of your player base.

While the numbers in this thread are ofcourse fictitious, you just made "nearly half" into a few.

Let's get the dictionary's changed, quickly!

WoW does maintenance 3am to like 8am in my time zone. That affects me about once a year, even their extended maintenance barely reaches the afternoon, it's only when something horrendous happens and they're down the entire day that you really notice and then you get game-time added to your account.

they are still fewer than the most, or cant you count. If a vote was placed "do farts smell?" and 57% said yes and 43% said no, would the 43% win? dont be so dense.

oh and hey jack*****, i was quoting a line. What you want me to do? change star trek II script for ya?
