I knew this would happen, they merged the servers, annoyed people and it solved nothing. For a month is was busy, the pvpers didn't cry about queues, and yet some of them found time to go around abusing and bullying the solo or rp player.

I agree that's the pvp community's toxicity that is the biggest problem. Not all are nasty but there are a goodly number of them that are, that have sufficiently turned much of the population against the activity. No one wants to play with jerks. Or worse, a throng of them.

Merging the servers again, displacing people, annoying them is not the answer. I wish they'd figure out how to the cross-server grouping so that the pvpers will finally stop their incessant whining and the rest of us can go back about our lives and not have to worry about having another assinine merge imposed.
ITA. An issue that affects PvE/solo players' QoL is brought up - something that impedes their game - and it's brushed off. Whatever, it doesn't affect PvPers so it doesn't matter, right? "Every playstyle is important" goes out the window when it's something that will negatively affect PvE and story players.

I keep hearing excuse after excuse as to why it's everyone else's fault that people aren't lining up to PvP. There are tons of bugs in every area of the game and scant rewards for class stories and planetary missions and yet people still play them.

If PvPers don't feel they don't have enough people to play with, do what RPers and PvEers do and organize guilds, events, and other things to bring their community together without expecting everyone else to suffer or have their gameplay negatively impacted to accommodate it. Or maybe look inward at the toxicity that so many players here have mentioned.

This is my first post in 3+ years. I completely agree, they should merge the two US servers into one.

Because you don't get queued with people you put on ignore.

PVP 1: Dude wth bad wrong your tanking sukks!
PVP 2: Don't tell me my tanking sucks you wuss! [puts PVP 1 on ignore]
PVP 1: Oh yeah! Well you need to L2P because you're a total fraking NOOB! [puts PVP 2 on ignore]

This process can only go on so long before all the PVPrs put each other on ignore.

So, if putting someone on ignore did not prevent people from being queued together.... the queues would probably pop constantly....
I have never put anyone on ignore in PvP, nor have I seen a lot of people acting the way that you suggest in your post. I know that there are some people out there that do act poorly and lash out at other players, but it isn't that common in my experience.

The truth is that I find general chat on fleet to be much more toxic, but I just ignore it by not reading it any time that I'm not looking to form a group.

I know that blaming PvP for why the game is bad is a popular past time for a lot of players, but the way I see it, they are just a convenient scapegoat.

With that said, I think that the real reason that fewer people play the game is the lack of a consistent flow of new content, and people just start getting bored with old content over time, and leave when they stop enjoying it.

This is also another Shadowlands vs. Jedi Covenent situation. Two same servers competing for the exact same demographic. There is no reason to have 2 separate servers keeping the vast majority who do the same things away from each other.

I think the reasoning that keeping 2 servers due to "technical limitations" is a cop out, too. This game has bled out so much of its population that it frankly only needs 1 server, and you guys certainly have the hardware and knowledge to maintain that for the rest who play this game on a regular basis. The server won't be overbloated, that's for sure.

Please merge the servers. You're doing what little players remain a disservice by not doing so.
Maybe The reason why it's slow until the evening is because people who play have jobs that they have to work at, or most players are PVE.

And how do you explain 3 months ago, 6 months ago, 12 months ago, 2 years ago. 4 years ago when people were playing 24/7?
Did no one have a job back then? Was everyone who played pvp unemployed? How did they pay for their subs?

The reason it’s slow is because the game is in its twighlight years and populations have decreseaed to the point that prime time is just 2-3 hours a day during the week.

Incorrect, sir. That's true for PvE but not PvP.

Agreed.
All warfare is based on deception If his forces are united, separate them If you are far from the enemy, make him believe you are near A leader leads by example not by force

That's also the reason why they created storymod FP's so that I can solo them with a Bot provided and still increase my XP, when group content does not pop
