Ah. This is why no one else PC have got a walker as a gift. Your PC Arcann warned all alternate realities romanced Arcanns that Commander have a tendency to drive reclessly .

I think it was treasure they had no use for, but Gault do say something about "checks bouncing". And Zakuul took a crazy-no-master-reset-to-default EF bombardment same as Republic and Sith. Also, no tithe? I think they are a little bit less rich?

Wasn't it just currency they plundered from worlds they conquered? Or maybe it was tribute from the Sith / Republic ?

I think you're right yeah, they were gonna give it back to the people, or give it to gault, or keep it. Don't think it was "theirs" but then I guess after taking it, it was. Naughty naughty!

Back on Fallen Empire Chapter 2. Did Valkorion just tell me that he found love on Zakuul and I might find it too? Was it his plot from the beginning?

To bring a society from oppressive tribalism into a glorious golden era requires significant funding. When Emperor Valkorion began his project, he funneled wealth from the Sith Empire into Zakuul, effectively robbing one empire to fund another. As Valkorion's grand society blossomed, the Eternal Empire turned its view outward, conquering planets and claiming their resources. By the time the Republic and Sith Empire fell, Zakuul had amassed the greatest fortune in the galaxy.

Much of it is channeled directly into Zakuul--expansion of the Eternal Fleet, lavish updates to the Spire, generous gifts to the citizens--but the Empire's treasure is so great, it couldn't possibly be spent entirely. The bulk now sits idle aboard the massive treasury called the Gilded Star, serving as a symbol of Zakuul's status--and a reminder of the Eternal Empire's power.

So yeah, we robbed them blind, they got poor-er for the first time ever. Even Arcann had to announce that a grand ball or something had to be cancelled.

Likely not, but hey, anything can be possible. Made sense why he want me to hate and kill his son. Dang bugger probably see this possible future where his family outlived him.
