It never said "don't wait for the next offer in two years, get it now." They did say, "Exclusive" and "Last Chance" and "Final Chance," all of which have clear meanings and implications.

The only thing I will agree on is these rewards have been brought back. There's a word for that too --- "Renege." Look it up.
Do you understand how marketing works? Of course they aren't going to use that kind of language because they want people to buy into the promotion. They would never advertise it as "Last chance, buy now! Oh, but it will be available again in 3 years, so no worries if you miss it this time!"

The open-ended wording of the promotion is deliberate. It allows them to make some rewards permanently exclusive and others not. This enables them to use some of the same rewards in future promotions, as they have here, and we're extremely grateful for that.

That's at least two ways of reading it. You clearly read it as #2 making you just as guilty of "adding words to change the meaning", because that's what you're doing, too. You read and added the 'forever' for yourself, because that is what you made of it and hoped for but that is not what they actually stated, either.

That makes them liars in your eyes, or makes you feel cheated while others shrug and move on.

Suppose next time they ought to add a disclaimer that certain promotions are subject to be recurrent in the future or something.

Actually, They should probably avoid this type of promotional system altogether. I've seen other suggestions of how other games handle it. My feeling is, if you start with this (type of) system, you should follow through with it. I think having exclusives is a good thing as long as you keep providing new ones along the way. Should they consider the types of things they offer as "exclusive?" Absolutely. People don't like not having access to companions or playable content. Keeping exclusives would be tolerated more if the exclusive items were purely vanity, no doubt.

When Shae and Nico were first released every single active sub got them. Yay! Every subscriber got a great reward! This time around, they are still being advertised as a subscriber reward, but only a sub-set of subscribers get them. So for this April's subscriber reward, instead of every subscriber getting an awesome reward, some get an awesome reward and others get nothing. They should not be called subscriber rewards when they are not rewarding all subscribers, only newish ones. While I'm perfectly happy that newish players are getting older rewards, I feel like Bioware is taking older subscribers for granted and treating us like we aren't valued. And that makes me grumpy.
My name is Milind. I checked it again and can confirm you there is no bug with any companion in the game.

I agree with you on this. Fine, give newer subs a sub reward that's been out before. You should also give something to all the people who are STILL subbed years down the line who already received those recycled sub rewards. Another companion, a title, a toy, an outfit, SOMETHING. That's how you make customers feel appreciated for their loyalty.

I already have Shae. I already have Nico. I already have the rebuilt HK-55.

It does not bother me if they want to give them out to other people. Heck, it doesn't even have to be a special promotion. Even if they just added them to the Alliance Alerts for everyone, I wouldn't complain.

I am somewhat disappointed, however, that for the big thank-you to subscribers where 2 companions are being given away for free, I receive nothing. I'm not angry. I'm not raging. I'm not threatening to quit. I am mildly disappointed. Because I am one of those rare subscribers who just lets my subscription renew every 90 days, and has been since the game launched. When the subscriber rewards offer nothing for the people like me, the longterm subscribers who have always been loyal to the game, it makes me feel as though I am taken for granted. Not that I deserved something extra, but that they went to the effort of offering something up for subscribers that by it's very design ignores their most loyal, faithful, longterm supporters.

Sort of like "Hey, team. We really should show our subscribers some love. Let's give them a bonus to let them know how much we appreciate them. Except the longterm guys. They can bugger off, because we know they're not going anywhere."

Considering these characters already exist in game, and use the same recycled moves pulled from the generic list of companion moves, and have no real dialogue participation (or even likes/dislikes from conversations), they take essentially no effort to add to the game. This could be done with literally any of the hundreds of existing models in the game. We could have been offered Jakarro. Or Tora. Or Vaylin. Or whoever. Characters that already had models in the game, so it takes no additional work, and who can follow us around as a silent companion, and get blocked for entire chapters any time it contradicts the story (the way Shae gets blocked for all of Rishi).

I don't care if they want to rerelease stuff; I'm not some special snowflake who wants exclusive stuff that nobody else can touch. But it would be nice if when they said "Thank you to our subscribers", it actually applied to ALL the subscribers.

This. I don't care if people get the companions that I have, but I do care when they start being selective on subscribers. I been here since launch and yet people like me don't count or being ignored because they seem to think we don't matter or we will stay no matter what. I have actually stopped playing because of the way it makes me feel and went back to SWG. Yea I rather play an emulator than play SWTOR where it seems my sub doesn't matter to them.

I know what you are saying but, Companions are supposed to be generic/able to fill all roles (aside from being melee and some ranged) and thus mainly Vanity Items. None have any unique quips while entering an area like the original 5 did. Heck, even the original 5 do not if you did kot-anything. Well, they do say different things for crafting but whoopee<sarcasm>. Funny thing is, even trying to make them generic the dev's failed as there are 5 that are slightly better than the others.
