My friend recently screwed up and got his account locked by answering his secret questions wrong and it's been roughly a week now and the account is still locked and the support mails he's been getting have been most unhelpful. I'm aware that he needs to submit some details such as passport / drivers licence, he claimed he did this but still hasen't got his account unlocked. I've took an intrest in trying to fix this for him as it was me who bought the game for him in the first place. I've tried telling him countless times to simply call EA but he lives in slovakia and is refusing to call a foreign number due to fear of costs.

Is it completely essential to call EA in order to get this fixed? As emails dont seem to be helping him in the slightest and i'm rather annoyed it's been so long without any proper assistance. I'd appreciate any help just about anyone can give me in helping my friend fix his mistake.
