And we fell for it, however obvious he was, however out of character what he was saying to do was.

But if it leads to her revival, I'll allow it.
Works for me

The long form: Bring back Vaylin

The short form: Because whatever we may think of her, or the story, or her father, or her fate, we should never have been required to do what the planet eating child abuser said. Shouldn't have had to use the techniques and words of an abuser ourselves. That was a step too far, and should be made better.
Worst idea ever. In my story, she is dead and i'd like her to stay dead. Why? Let's say my sith sorcerer can use some ancient stuff, holocrons and other sith mambo-jumbo to perform a ressurection ritual. But how about the non-force sensitives? They can use what exactly for the ritual? Used socks?
And why would anyone want that *beep* back? Why not ressurect Darth Marr or Revan?

And in no way am I trying to take that choice away from you. You want her to remain dead, or even not make a further appearance, for your game, by all means. You got your choice. I'd simply appreciate them giving me a choice about siding with an abuser against his victim, whatever else is going on. Considering how choice-free it was, on a subject where we absolutely should have had a choice, a complete reversal, with her both alive and getting some kind of help rather than the "hero" forcing her to kneel to her abuser then impaling her, would be best. If not, some acknowledgement of how awful that was would be nice.

Used socks? No, I think the many characters they have on retainer that are force sensitive could probably help with it. And, while I'm by no means against having Marr hanging around, none of that applies to him.

Don't get me wrong, if people vote for Valyin to be re-introduced into the game ( sith ritual, ancient jedi relics, whatever) is fine by me, but i'd like to have the choice to refuse the quest, to not be forced to do some long, confusing and boring quest like the one to recruit Kayla Djannis. One more thing, can Vaylin be made more attractive in case she is re-introduced? New armor, no head scarf, washed hair?

I think anyone should absolutely be able to refuse the quest, or take it but kill her/destroy her spirit/lay her to rest at the end. My beef is all about the lack of choice, I wouldn't want to take anyone else's away if they thought the story was good as is. As much as I disliked it, it's something that some characters would do, I just don't like it being something all characters must do.

Edit: They should absolutely give her at least the customization slot, so we can have variants of her (Empress, High Justice, Redeemed, etc.), and full customization might make me personally go ick from time to time, but again, more choice is probably ultimately better.

I agree with most of what you posted about her ( she is one of the characters which annoy me the most in the game ), just instead of the Revan which got ressed many times already I would prefer to see Darth Malgus return.

Malgus had his flaws, but yes, i agree with you, he deserves a second chance. Why? While everyone in the Empire treated "aliens" like s**t, he recruited Anomids, Trandoshans and other species, so i think he wouldn't have had a problem with my sith inquisitor being a red skinned zabrak. I know, my argument is thin and debatable.

Whatever good or bad there is about Malgus, he, at least, got a solid story already, without making my skin crawl. If one of these three guys mentioned must come back, Marr, who was suddenly carrying the idiot ball for the purpose of plot, would be my choice. Overturning the awful ideas used in this story and get some better choices is, after all, what the thread is about.

But, yeah, the habit of killing any Sith leader that shows any indication of being even slightly better than the rest, whether or not they really were better, is a bad habit BWA should break.

Personally i would prefer anyone else to be ressurected but Vaylin. Marr was " the unstoppable force between his people and the enemies" . Malgus was the voice of reason, he wanted " a more tolerant Empire". Revan was crazy with a capital C, but not impossible to reason with .

Well, the whole thing about her being in our minds is still open for debate. Marr & Revan never connected with us and Malgus is still in a fridge.
