I'll believe it when there's some official, or even reliable, information on it. I've seen some of that guy's videos and, meh. He's a theorist.

Wouldn't that be something. In this resurgence of "Star Wars" EA has two Star Wars themed games and both are not *Flourishing as expected but infact both are *Floundering because of EA and *Money. With those rumors of a possible T.O.R. era movie future and even slight Revan innuendos already does E.A. capitalize on this upcoming boon? No it seems they want to **** it.

But if they do something that's very traditional Star Wars, like good vs. evil and all that, then everyone says, "Boring. This is just a retelling of the originals."

It's quite honestly a no win situation. If I was an established writer or producer you couldn't pay me enough money to write something in this universe. Fans are untenable.
You're not wrong, SW fans are notoriously hard to please. I think in a way the original trilogy has been put so far up on a pedestal, anything afterward has a hard time trying to meet expectations. I've enjoyed all the SW movies for what they are, admittedly some more than others, but I enjoyed the originals, the prequels and all of the newer ones...I guess I'm one of the easy to please fans, cause I see merit in all of them in one way or another.

I think a darker take on star wars and focussing on what life for a Sith is like and their world and making a movie about Sith antiheroes or villains would be exciting. It would be different enough to be innovative and yet star wars enough to work too. A movie about Sith...I'm like...'shut up and take my money.' And if anyone wanted me to write for SW, I totally would, though I realize it wouldn't be easy, because the Star Wars story group is quite stringent on what you can do and very mindful of what's gone before.

Wookiee For Love in Alderaan Places??

IF GoT directors do pick up the SWTOR trilogy I would really hope that they actually use that opportunity to follow this games story line and the previous Canon of the game. with also heavy promotions for this game so that not only the community benefits but also EA so they could actually broaden their scope of what they have here. yes they do develop other games aside from SW but I surely hope they give this game a massive BOOST!

SWTOR was never perfect. But it wasn't a bad game.
No, theirs agendas in it everywhere, hence the entire casino scene, why Rey is so op without training, and why the force is female. TLJ was a bad movie with tons of dropped points from TFA, a story favoring shock value than actual solid writing, lacking character development, and wasted Finn and Poe. It was bad, but not god awful, some people make it seem like it was the worst movie ever and ill give you that.

What you call agendas I simply call bad writing. Rey being OP, the Force itself being a tad OP, scenes that didn't need to be there, wasted characters - you can thank JJ Abrams for most of that when he broke several tropes in TFA. Primarily because he didn't have a real story.

People on the right and the far right are the only ones who see agendas. Particularly with strong women being in positions of authority making life and death decisions. But that's not surprising. Conservatives see agendas in virtually everything.

They would see an agenda in their salad dressing if it wasn't white enough.

Woah, woah, woah woah!
So...why are all of you assuming it would be a trilogy in the Old Republic era?
Where was it specifically stated that the GoT guys were making Old Republic movies?

If this is the case for a TOR series of films? the one good thing about it is that the producers won't change between each one and so they aren't making it up as they go along . and if they hire on directors they had before like Miguel Sapochik, David Nutter or Jeremy Podeswa to work on all three films together? it should be epic.

It wasn't. People are just running away with it.
