Hey everyone,

Below you will find the changes planned for Annihilation and Watchman in Game Update 5.5:

Marauder
Annihilation
  • Reduced Deadly Saber's damage by 6%
  • Juyo Mastery now gives bleed effects an additional 1% critical hit chance per stack of Juyo Form, down from 2%,
  • The temporary bleed damage bonus applied by Annihilate due to the Devious Wounds passive has been reduced from 5% to 3%

Sentinel
Watchman
  • Reduced Overload Saber's damage by 6%
  • Juyo Mastery now gives burn effects an additional 1% critical hit chance per stack of Juyo Form, down from 2%,
  • The temporary burn damage bonus applied by Merciless Slash due to the Smoldering Burns passive has been reduced from 5% to 3%

DevNotes: The Annihilation / Watchman discipline was overperforming, so we made some changes to bring its overall DPS in line with its target. Deadly Saber / Overload Saber made up a large part of its damage, so we brought that down slightly to level its damage out with some of the discipline’s other abilities, while still maintaining its place in the rotation.

Additionally, we slightly lowered the effectiveness of some other damage over time abilities through changes to a couple of passives which brought the discipline’s DPS to where it needed to be.

I like it, the damage output of Marauders both Carnage and Anni was quite a bit too high compared to other classes, in particular others in the melee sustained category. Happy to see these readjustments to the sustained damage as it balances out well with these.

This list looks very familiar, I'm pretty sure it does. Now lets see why this change makes no sense (At least from a parsing point of view). Anni is the top parser, and it's actually close to lethality now, just 4 seconds faster on a 2.5M. Lethality after it's above 11K parse glory is where you deemed it's "Target Dps" is. Anni as just stated is right next to it by comparison.

These nerfs are going to hurt, especially the 6% deadly saber one, since that's anni's main damage contributor. With Annihilation/Watchman falling out of first place which class comes next?....Hmm that must be wrong....it's fury! *Round of Applause* Now 3 things can happen, if this change is based on the statistics of parses (And I know it's not the only factor). Either watchman doesn't get this nerf and stays the top performing spec, or there is something wrong with your chart, and all the other melee dot specs need to be buffed to match closer. Then the worse of the 3, realize there was a mistake and take away the buff to fury, as it obviously is the top spec kappa.

Oh hey guys look. Another pointless change.

Joking I'm REALLY happy you guys are fixing this really pressing issue of Anni doing good damage and not trying to fix survivability issues (aka utility imbalance). I mean who doesn't like nerfs.

Brilliant, you fixed something that wasn't broke, instead of fixing the mountain of severe bugs in SWTOR.

Mercenary Trama Regulators: Broken, Overpowered
Mercenary Kolto Surge: Broken, Overpowered
Sniper Defensive Safeguards: Broken, Overpowered
Sniper Tactical Retreat: Broken, Overpowered
Marauder Ruthless Aggressor: Broken, Overpowered

Powertech Jet Charge: Broken, periodically fails
Operative Holotraverse: Broken, periodically fails or kills you
Assassin Phantom Stride: Broken, periodically fails or kills you

Warzones suffer from desync so bad that players randomly disappear or glitchs around map while being untargetable.

Clean your mess up Bioware, you are an embarrassment.

THEN FIX YOUR DPS CHECKS ON OPS!!!! Such as Master Blaster. Because this shows YOU, NEVER, PLAY! All you guys do is screw classes downward overall while maintaining the same DPS checks. THIS is not balance. You buff the operative which was one of the higher ones. Anni mara wasn't even top dps and you are screwing it over? Where did you see an Operative Buff? Both specs have been nerfed in 5.4
Annihilation not the Top class? Sure looks like it http://parsely.io/parser/leaderboard
Jugg is far from top class
I agree that the Dps check are thight, but it is the point of a dps check, they are still doable. My group continue to progress in Master mode. The elusive "Target dps" is too low for the range specs and some melee (Concealment and maybe advance prototype and rage jugg), But all Mara specs are in a great place right now.

Some of these I don't know how they pull it off. I have talked to Radley for some time and matched his gear and rotations and hitting those numbers are not always achievable. There is much RNG that does go into play there. I would like to see a more averaged set of numbers to get a real feel for the overall performance. And we all know that only the best numbers get posted, not the average. One thing that is out of players hands is things such as lag.

Now go look at the operations leader board on the bosses on parsely, and see which classes are higher performing.
