Also, this tactic would work fine in a MMO with lovely new product keep poping out. But this isn't the case. This game lack of new stuff. Many of these "buyers" are already gone. So bringing back old stuff and improve the current one to fill the current population's need is a very good move. Even to the old players, they've already enjoyed their old success for so long, as long as there are new reward to enjoy, it's not a problem. This is a MMO, you need to keep change carrot on the stick and put the old ones for others to enjoy.
i missed achievements do not playing for 2 years, i do not care about that, i do not care about not being able to get them. what i care about is they should be placed in the archive so players who do have them can still be proud of getting them and show them off. and i do care about stuff i do have gotten with preording stuff, like my holo hutt trainer, it would be a real slap in the face if everyone suddenly got it for free, or for money because it was for preordering something and not for buying later. this also goes for stuff like the exp armor set from the dvl event i worked hard getting the event done 100%, some of the companions. it's slap in the face for everyone who payed subscriptions for a long time to get the rewards and do the tasked to get rewards. and have them later either given away free or for less money you payed and worked for.

it's kind like when you are at work, working hard for your money and in comes a new employ, who does nothing all day. and at the end of the day you hear your boss say to the new employ: " you did great today, here you go 1000 euro bonus for you." and you go home to think about how long you have to work to make that 1000 euro's your self and why he got it for free doing nothing and why you have/had to work for it.

achievements that you no longer can get need to be moved to the archive, for 2 reasons . 1 so new players know they can't get them anymore and don't waste time on trying. 2 if they are in the archive people who do have them still have the bragging right they got them. NONE get gets hurt by this. how ever making them active again or make them easy to get by sales on CM will upset those who had to work for it.

Oh really?

Do you ever read the emails they send out? A couple examples:

"Want Exclusive Color Crystals This March? Choose Your Path!"

"LAST CHANCE to pilot the Rapid Recon Walker: Go Premium Today!"

"LAST CHANCE TO CLAIM A RARE BOUNTY: Unlock Shae Vizla -- legendary Bounty Hunter -- as a new Companion to fight by your side!"

Any idea what Exclusive means? Last chance?

Yeah. They said it

Just gonna leave these here

Quote:
exclusive (ɪkˈskluːsɪv,ɛkˈskluːsɪv)
adjective
1.
excluding or not admitting other things.
"an exclusive focus on success and making money"

2.
restricted to the person, group, or area concerned.
"the couple had exclusive possession of the flat"
Quote:
entitled (ɪnˈtʌɪt(ə)ld)
adjective
believing oneself to be inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment.
"An argument must have opposition if it is to prove itself."
Queen of the White Knights <==== Click to pay tribute to your Queen
Once managed to use "Obfuscate" in a sentence. Allegedly sounds like.....Robbie Williams?

Yeah. They said it
They made clear, THIS MONTH. So they could simply say "it's exclusive for this month".

Like I've said before, it's not a big deal as long as there are new reward for the old players, at the same time open the old ones to new players.

If they added "new rewards" for the ones who actually EARNED those limited time rewards, then the "new players" would simply cry about not having THOSE rewards. It never ends.

The "new players" need to suck it up and accept that some things are limited, even in games.

Some players need to suck it up and accept that some things require some effort to obtain, as well.

.
Show me where it says exclusive items are only exclusive for (whatever month it is) and then after that, it will no longer be exclusive and will be given to everybody. That is clearly not what they said in their email ads. "Exclusive" and "last chance" are pretty clear words.

"Exclusive for this month", it's simple to break out. The players already enjoyed it for so long.

As long as there are new rewards, the old players would have new stuff to enjoy. Not a big deal at all.

What do you mean "EARNED"? Players pay for the game, not work for the company to earn money.

WHO are you to judge others deserve something or not? WHO are you?

Like I've said, this game right now need more new content and stuff, without it, we need to improve and back old content so the players have more to do. It's not like we always have new stuff to enjoy. I don't see a problem to bring them back.

I mean EARNED, as in "qualified to receive", even if all that was required in order to qualify to receive a specific reward was to be subscribed on a certain date.

We could ask you the same question. After all, your posts in this thread seem to indicate that you seem to feel you that you have the right to determine who deserves things. You seem to feel that you have the right to determine that "new players" or players that CHOSE to "take a break" are entitled to (or "deserve") rewards that were only available during a time when those players were not playing.
