You do realize even game developers and "pros" agree with him? 1v1 is unbalanced due to different classes having a counter class. Healers which do little damage have to go defensive the whole time and therefore wont deal any damage, meaning they can't win.

Your argument is invalid and proved wrong, 1v1 is a bad for ranked gameplay due to counter classes, its simply a fact. There are way to work around that but it's too late for that in TOR.

-Warfronts and any kind of boxed pvp should never existed. Rewarding people looking for a brawl on the fields would be more fitting for any MMO.

Suck it up
so much elitist talk from such a obviously bad player, haha holy ****

Anonimate as intended

i really wish they had a intelligence requirement to post in this forum :/
I wish they did as well, then every third post would not be your misguided posts.

you think world pvp is harder and should be a staple for pvp in mmorpgs. you know whats hard about world pvp? spamming lfg in general chat until you get a full group.

wanna know why i know your bad? you sound exactly like the type of people who posted on alts all the time (cant let people see your terrible ratings on your main character) in the wow forums complaining how BGs and world pvp need to have better rewards and how blizzard should remove arenas because you can't click yourself to a good rating. it's not even about "professional" pvp dude, its about there being an actual competitive place in the game, not like warzones where you have a chance to be queued against LEVEL 10S WHO JUST STARTED PLAYING THE GAME.

So, unlike 98% of the posts in this thread I am going to actually use factual evidence to back my statements here, instead of making baseless claims that cannot be proven.

From some relatively creditable sources, including a thread on ArenaJunkies:
http://www.warcry.com/articles/view/...ds-Rob-Pardo.2
http://wow.joystiq.com/2009/11/13/bl...ere-a-mistake/

Blizzard developers have stated that implementing area was a bad idea. It caused a lot of headaches for the developers trying to balance classes in a game that was designed to be primarily a community pve game. It was a sink hole of time and resources that could have be better used improving/implementing other features that could have made the overall game a better experience for everyone.

That being said I am not against competitive pvp. I am however against small scale (as someone used that term earlier) pvp because it will likely cause that same issues WOW had. This game is a PVE story driven game with pvp play secondary. I think some kind of rated Warzone system might be very fun, considering there are 8 player Warzones that you could easily make permanent teams for. This game is not balanced or designed for pvp in a small scale manner. It is designed to be a team based game with all of the classes working together to protect/heal/compliment each other.

Yep, system its self is not bad but the way Blizzard implemented it was not great, especially when they did not plan prior to releasing the game.

Small scale PvP causes balancing issues seen in WoW.

yes, this is a fact i know. mostly because it's already been posted in this thread a few times, but also because i even posted myself in that arena junkies thread when this was news. if you want to see why you're wrong then just read the whole AJ thread.
