Pvp arena?!!?

1v1 duels are unbalanced and the most scripted pvp in any game once both sides know what they're doing.
i really wish they had a intelligence requirement to post in this forum :/

Can someone give me the numbers for the brackets?

Because I honestly think they would do 2s and 4s. Why? Because thats the same size as the group quest.

So basically you have the worst brackets (according to most wow players) out there. I mean unless you guys get threes you'll be pissed right? :P

if they do introduce arena to this game you should pray that there's a 5v5 bracket, seeing as the only way you were ever able get pass 1800 was from mutliboxing.

Also regarding the brackets. You mean if there was Arena it would be 2v2, 4v4? I think if they ever would implement Death Match styled PvP it would have to be something like 8v8, at smallest 4v4 due to balancing issues (smaller the bracket, more "FOTMs" appear).

So you mean like rated BGs in a sense, like Warzones. I could live with that.

And to the person saying it was because of multibox I got to 2.2k. It most likely was. I didn't know how to play a shaman solo. I only knew the macros I set up. Also I didn't get it in a day. It wasn't easy. Arena, while I'm not a supporter (like I am world PvP) takes dedication. It took me a few months every monday night playing for a good two/three hours a night to get me a full set of gear.

People who are high level arena players, such as Reckful/Hoodrych. They're not jerks in game, they're some of the most successful arena players in the game. However they don't go to none arena players and tell them they suck. They know they can beat other players and that's good enough for them. Not the verbal harassment. Some of the 2400+ and -2900 players have this feeling that they are the spawn of Jesus. Unless you are a rank 1 glad on bloodlust, well, no you aren't.

Anyways, I gotta go level up my healer.

world pvp is where it is and should be... organize pvp if you must. Raid the factions city if you can start pvp! please dont talk a bout arena. like so many of you already said its been done and done. give the game a year before you think about that please. Try to keep world pvp alive and taunt some people in pvp channel and get something started!

you said there shouldn't be arenas because you achieved a 2.2k rating mutliboxing as 5 shamans. now that you're creditability is ruined your trying a different angle. i'm no elitist nor do i think i'm the spawn of jesus, but when bad players try to make suggestions on how a game should be i like to take action. most of the people are against arenas in this game are not good at them and they don't want to be forced to realize that they might just have to improve themselves.

The problem with arenas ... they require true class balance in order for true skill to be gaged. To create balance means you can't have specialized skills that differ with each class. You must instead of a system where all classes are a jack-of-all trades and each class has access to those abilities that make each class stand out on their own.

For example take healing in this game.

If you have a class that has developed their healing potential they can practically heal to the cows come home. On my BH if I go one on one with a full spec healer I will be at critical heat before the healer's "mana" bar has even dipped an inch. And as soon as the pressure is off the healer they can out heal my damage and then take it the fight to me as everything is on cooldown and I can't vent heat.

Some people would say, "Then stun or interupt the healer".

That is all good but my class doesn't have an interupt (that I have discovered). And I only have two stuns. One last 4 seconds. The other last a min and is dispelled as soon as the target takes damage. In that 4 seconds I have the following choices. (1) Use my range attacks that might do 2k worth of damage in that 4 seconds. (2) Use Rail Shot - which will do less damage that my core range missile attacks and generates the same heat. (3) Charge at the healer and use one of my two melee attacks that do extra damage to stunned targets but will likely do less damage than if I used my ranged missile attacks in that same time period.

The point is for there to be balance in arena combat all classes have to be able to interupt, stun, do massive burst damage, have a combat sprint, have a massive "oh crap" heal option, be able to negate higher armor ratings, and even have a "oh crap" flee combat option to there skills. Give them all that and what is the point of the individual classes?

Unless you have all those things you don't have true balance. Thus arena combat is pointless. It is like playing rock, paper, scissors. One class is always going to have an upper hand over another class and it is up to luck or fate as to who you end up challenged against.

Frankly, I can do without the arena system. I prefer the battlegrounds (even with the premades taking over) where team actions can rule the day. This is a game were the parts of the whole are better than the single features of any one single class. And the best PVP matches I have been in so far have been with a good mix of all the classes. Focus on too many people playing the same class and it turns into a steam roll.

-WoW is a carebear game (inside a city you´re safe, and game is made that you should never need to go outside)
-Arena is garbage and CASUAL pvp (10 games a week for purples)
-Frost Mages are OP. The 2v2 Rogue-Mage is fking UNBEATABLE if they dont make a mistake
-Scrubs will always remain scrubs, different games change nothing
-Warfronts and any kind of boxed pvp should never existed. Rewarding people looking for a brawl on the fields would be more fitting for any MMO.
