That way the story content that people come to the game for is always accessible be it hard to get.

I still think that they should add the hk mission to this list tho simply because it is a story content reward. This would actually reward those who subbed during the correct time for the hk reward again by making them not have to aquire the hk mission again.

So basically lets say they do another bonus mission that requires 8 months subscription:
You: have already got the hk mission so now all sub time goes to the Kotet chapter instead of the hk chapter
Non-HK mission person (aka OP and me): have to first unlock the hk mission to then start working on the kotet bonus chapter.

This would both "punish" those who didn't get the chapter when they were suppost to while allowing them to get the story content they missed. It would also reward the people who are constant subs by making it so that they get the new chapters before everyone else.

I will always feel that the story content should be accessible in some way and like you implied no one wants to pay 120 dollars (or whatever it is) just for a single chapter. This seems like a decent compromise between the "We earned it so you shouldn't get it" and the "Well I should be able to get everything they have" groups.

I think it was a big mistake for BW to put a story content mission as a miss-able reward simply because the game is driven by story content.
I would agree IF the BONUS chapter affected the core game in any significant way or prevented a player from progressing, but the BONUS chapter is just a side story and has no affect on the core game. As such , I think it needs to stay exclusive to those were subscribed between the appropriate dates as specified in the CLEAR AND EXPLICIT criteria set forth in the terms and conditions, Those terms and conditions did NOT say "until we decide to cave to those who feel they are entitled to have something they are NOT entitled to have".

I think that some BONUS story content being time specific subscriber rewards is a great incentive for players to continue to subscribe during the "low spells". I do not advocate all BONUS story content being time specific subscriber rewards, but I also do not advocate all BONUS story content being veteran rewards. I think there needs to be some bonus content available through each reward system.

The terms and conditions were CLEAR AND EXPLICIT and available to anyone who chose to avail themselves of that information.

Well I think we can agree to disagree about the previous bonus chapters. But if we ignore the hk mission for now and just focus on future bonus missions I still feel that a sub for x amount of time would work better to make it so that new players can get the content they missed while still giving the veterans more bonus content.

Basically a system where over time you can slowly catch up in the bonus missions but it gives vets more wiggle room for when to sub.

Like every 12 months a chapter comes out that requires you to be a sub for 8 months after that date. If you don't reach that goal by then end of 12 months it carries over and you can continue working on that chapter's sub requirement while people who already got their 8 months from the last 12 month cycle are working on their next 8 months.

So this gives new players 4 months of catch up to try to catch up on the bonus chapters while giving vets the "reward" of getting new chapters before new/returning players

It's ridiculous that they had this sort of pay-to-play content in the first place... It's effectively $90 for one little chapter. If they want people to keep their subscription going, then maybe they shouldn't make content that gets used up in a matter of days... (i.e. not singling out story over group content). Instead, they make a little gimmick where you have to sub for 6 straight months just to get that extra bit of story content that they know everyone's going to want to play but not going to want to pay.... Worst. Decision. Ever. (In SWTOR)

And guess who it hurts the most. New players. You know the thing that keeps mmos alive... Gotta love this decision.

This, I hope they never do it again and I still hope they rectify Shroud of Memory for all somehow.

And those data cube cut scenes too, no story content should be behind any pay wall but a sub.

I'm a little upset because I have all rewards from subbing this year, but as a new player a don't have a chance to buy - for exemple - Nico Okarr. It would be nice if they have just give us access to all the awards for the cartel coins. I do not mind in-game purchases. It would be profitable for them too...

I hope BW creates more content like this as a subscriber reward. Maybe a mission where we play as Treek.

I'd like more reward content, but I'd prefer they made it a tiered system based how long you have subbed, vice specific dates.
Puppymonkeybaby - Click this thing to give me stuff.
I guess you get stuff too.

Because that BONUS chapter is the only thing that new players will never get to experience?

Let's see:

New players will not get to experience the Chevin Grand Acquisitions event.

New players will not get to experience the recent Dark vs Light event or acquire the companion from that event.

New players will not get to experience the original Rakhghoul event.

The list goes on and on.

There are many things in this game that are locked behind "time travel".

There are many things in almost every MMO that someone who joins the game years after it is released will never get to experience. It's not being "unfair" to new players. That is simply the nature of MMO's.
