Eek, please dont missunderstand me! I dont defend the skills current strenght, i have been talking about the mechanic. All this merc revenge time is not something i defend.

I'm pretty bad at Juggering myself --I wouldn't be a proper Merc if I knew how to melée -- and even I know a Jugg who clearly doesn't know how to play his class.

I see one such here, and just had to comment it because of how egregious this particular example is.

This is 100% L2P.

But realistically, this i who is going to get my main-since-forever class nerfed back into the dirt. They already did it to my 'Slingers, once, and it would seem Sorcs too, now.

Stop being bad, and learn to stagger CCs, you've got some few of them last I checked.

From the perspective of a solo que sentinel. Are merc/mando defenses op?...probably. But nearly two years of dealing with op sorc/sage defenses has taught me to just adapt as best I can. As people have already pointed out, there are strategies that minimize the effectiveness of these merc defenses. And let's be honest, if you are strong with your main class, you will still outplay fotm rerollers. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I like how I am now actually happy to see a mando on my team in arenas. From what I have seen so far, the new merc "cancer" provides a natural counter to the sage/sorc cancer we have been living with for 2 expansions.

You called it egregious, but never explained why "this particular example" is bad. So tell us why, point by point he's wrong?

So having one class overpowered is good, because it counters another overpowered class. That would be great, if pvp only involved two classes. It has 8 though, so your argument is completely illogical. It's "cancer" to the health of pvp in swtor.

Because not being funny, while I agree you might not have the tools to kill good merc dps now (as veng/vigi), I'm pretty sure you can't do it with operatives either (as evidenced by every dueling tourny ever). No Merc worth anything is spending the second point in that part of utilities for Energy Rebounder, and if they are, then stun then and dps them down because they don't get the benefit of 30% dmg reduction (as well as already having lost 20% armour vs you).

I really can see it's a L2P issue for you. Also, you're playing a DPS spec, you're not meant to be able to face tank. Adjust your own playstyle to counter, it's what good Merc players have been doing for YEARS.

Face tanking is literally what dps mercs are doing right now, thanks to the energy shield utilities. I guess applying the same standards of criticism to both sides of a discussion is an issue for you.
