Bioware is changing direction completely. The game we once knew will never be the same again, they may "tweak" the command system a little and make it legacy wide but thats all I see them doing, if even that, Bioware is now focused on gaining a new player base with the upcoming star wars movies plain and simple. The days of raiding are over for good in swtor. Posting on these forums has little to no effect on Biowares decision making, we all know that to well, so what I say is either accept 5.0 or leave, I myself have decided to leave the game, my sub runs out tomorrow so this is my last post.

There are winners and losers in every game shift, and in this case the losers are the raiders.

I do feel bad for the people losing out in SW:TOR's new identity, and I support you voting with your wallet if the game no longer caters to you. Only time will tell whether this new game identity is sustainable in the long run.
But there are plenty of MMO that offers raiding, while SW:TOR is probably the only one of it's kind that focuses on single-player and the KOTOR style story.

The previous expansion was what got me hooked to the game, and made me look forward to this current expansion. And now I look forward to the next expansion.

I like this new identity, or the shift from MMO to online RPG. I feel like this is what SW:TOR should have been in 2011. Scattering story across numerous locations in a MMO wasn't a good implementation. You already see people just doing class missions because they are the only interesting missions worth doing.

Replaying older chapters at a higher difficulty is a nice touch. This is a much better marriage between a story RPG and a MMO.

I hope for more solo content like Star Fortress, or some form of content that you send your companions out on.

Well, considering anything solo-related gives utterly **** cxp and anything group-related gives decent cxp, but is highly unreliable when attempted via random groups, 90% of the time you get put with players that want to be carried and cry when that doesn't happen.

When it comes to pvp, i am not sure, but it likely involves dying alot for medium amounts of cxp......sorry, but in my opinion, the more effort you have to put into the event, the more you should get as a reward, cause right now, doing heroics is a waste of time, since all you get is 20 per heroic (no matter the time it takes) and if you click on the Galactic Command toggle for planetary quests, doing that for each planet, gives 350-450 cxp, the downside to this, is you can only do these heroics once per week, so in my opinion 20cxp per heroic is insulting, it should be 200 minimum or remove the weekly limit.

I have done some raiding in this game before it became more about 100% success on the first go type of mentality, but now, its just full of childish morons that can't handle a single death, so any group content, i will do only with guildies and no one else.

I don't even PvE, have never done a single op, but they have broken PvP beyond immediate repair, so I'm out.

It's pretty clear that this expansion is merely a patch in terms of content ( no new warzones , no new ops ) , it's also pretty clear that with each "expansion" we get less and less rehashed content so maybe now the community will wake up and make a stand for the remaining dying days of this game.

Unfortunately, I don't think they new style has worked. If KOTFE was a success as the new direction, they wouldn't be abandoning it moving forward. EA's own earnings statement made mention of SWTOR being the main driver for loss of subscription revenue. They said they were going to focus on group content now with an announcement in January for more detail. Given that, thsi system makes no sense and is going to make SWTOR responsible again for loss of sub revenue come next earnings statement.

When an expansion is less than a week old and you see post after post of people not liking the new system, members of the "influencer" program speaking ill of it, the owner of a major fan site denouncing the new CXP system - something isn't right. An Expansion should bring excitement and a rejuvenated feeling to the playerbase- not anger, hostility and hopelessness.
Let's agree to never say "RNG is exciting" ever again.

I was pretty surprised to see Dulfy drop the mic about it on reddit. I've never seen Dulfy post like that, ever.

You do know that without a solid player base, who keep paying their subs, there may not be a next expansion?
Are you going to keep paying each month for a solo game? For how long? Until you reach 40 bucks? 60?
Why would you, when you get access to the whole story for only one month of subbing?

And why is that? I dont raid. But i still unsub because i dont have anything NEW to do? Same content as last year. The Command System could have been way more fun if there were 2 new Daily-Planets, some Exploring and stuff like that ( Droid Recon, Glasses, Search Droid, ect.).
