Rebuttal to many slicing nerf complaints

Over the course of three threads, I have seen people repeatedly argue:

A) "It wasn't broken since anyone could take it"

B) "There is nothing abnormal about having 200k+ by level 20"

I have one modest question to these people.

Why doesn't Bioware just give you, say, 100 million credits at character creation?

Slicing now loses money in missions for me and the security cases found have less credits than their respective nodes of arch, bio, or scavenging.

I can make 4k credits per hour on bio tier 2 missions, 6k credits per hour on arch tier 2 missions, and almost 7k on scavenging tier 2 missions by getting materials from missions and
selling them on the GTN. This is NOT counting harvesting out in the game while leveling.

Nodes for slicing produce lockboxes that are 1/3 the value of the materials found in nodes for all other gathering skills.

At tier 2, I make around 1-2k credits an hour. This means the gathering of materials earned more money than slicing and always has.

All of this is on a alt that sits at the GTN and does nothing but make money off crafting mats.
