I could care less about the WZ pvp. But I'm forced to go there because that is where everyone is. Warzones kill world pvp.

I hate WZ pvp, but I also hate open world pvp, but I have to do it because I rolled on a pvp server not knowing exactly what it meant. PvP servers kill PvE.

The gear you wear is like a badge.

And this game will have this. You will find the hard modes on end game instances are going to be very hard and they are working on reward pvp systems.

WOW is the reason for this BS PVP state. WOW PVP has gear "ggodies" because they treat it as an Esport, a competition for "professional" gamers. Its like a requisite to play. It also created the imbalances we see and the bad game decision they made.

As a "casual" PVPer I want:

1) A cooperative team to PVP with.
2) Access to enjoy PVP when I feel like it.
3) A something worth my time for PVPing.

You know whats the most annoying thing about WOW PVP. The fact that it actually crosses my mind to NOT PVP because everyone in their is fully decked out, I can't damage anything, I can't heal anything, I have this stupid barrier to entry because I decided to PVE with my time.

(Oh, but don't worry your just a PVEer, you cant have LAST SEASONS GEAR, no thanks, Ill move on.)

To me that sounds more like the typical new generation MMO player that embraces the gear treadmill regardless of the impact it has on the gameplay. A healthy PvP environment and infinite gear progression are like oil and water.

That is a perfectly valid point. You need something to progress towards once you are 50 and pvp gear. Bioware has done an amazing job for launch, be thankful you have any pvp. It will be at least a few months until they add a ladder or something. There are higher priority issues such as bugs and balancing out the core of the game (professions, abilities, lag, etc.)

Giving harder to get gear with a different look/color with no stat advantage. I think a ladder would be great in this game but without giving huge stat advantages. A freshly geared 50 can easily climb if they are skilled. You dont have to grind hours/weeks for gear and you still have something to accomplish to show your skill.

As far as the pvp bracket dispute, confirmed there WILL be a 50 bracket. Just wait till everyone levels, if not 50 players would have very long queues, especially poor Empire
Give it a couple of months. Dont give up on this game it will cater to the majorities wants, just give them time to iron out the kinks.

Sorry to hear that. Why not reroll and pick a PVE server. I have no problem with you opinion on PVP, but you do have choices.

And I will also say, that thank god BW did not go down the path of WOW. I also hated BG because of the fact I have other things to do and cant devote a large portion of my day to grinding prestige to get the best gear and then be able to compete.

BW, nothing to see here (waves hand), move on.

You can call it what you want, in any type of snarky, pompous way you like, but the reality is that this is what I like in a game.

There is no good reason that what you like in a game is any more or less acceptable than what I like, or vice versa.

Welcome to the new age of MMO gaming, City of Heroes changed pvp over a year ago to cater to casuals, it wasn't a nice change either. PVP isn't dynamic like it used to be in SWG or such anymore.

Tough it up or stop subscribing.
Now that GoergZoeller is gone, buff operative.
SWTOR going F2P, now playing SWGemu.

Logically, as PVP is your passion you should have that advantage over casuals already.
sigh so when more competitive pvp is implemented an players who are doing well in those shouldnt be rewarded. there needs to be a system make the gear obtainable for casuals but take a realy really long time and have a lower set thats eazy to get that simple. just like player whos going to be doing (hard mode) raid need to get better gear same goes for pvp why should a person that only competitive pvp have the same gear as som1 that can afk ina warzone plz think before u post again plz.
