Then they can find a new guild right? The ship, the stronghold, the guild vaults....they're ALL under the control of ONE player. You either trust that player or you don't.

Is that fair? Is that right? Not really...but it's the design of the game, whether we like it or not.

The point is that it is irrelevant. If I'm the GM and I decide to transfer, I can /disband the guild and everything is gone. Every GM has the power to do whatever he/she wants with the guild, people seem to have this sense of importance by being a member. I fully agree that GMs should work in the best interests of their guild, but it is up to the players to find a guild with leadership they trust.

Johnny voicing an opinion regarding a part of the game that is less than satisfying is one thing. Continuing to pester, nag, whine, cry and throw temper tantrums on the forums once BW has made a decision on how to handle a situation when that decision does not go the exact way he wants it go is another thing entirely.

That is why I say that I predict that the temper tantrums from some will continue--a prediction which has been proven accurate, I would say.

It would appear that some people simply cannot accept an answer from BW that does not handle a situation exactly the way they want to to be handled. Some people apparently feel the need to continue to post--nagging, crying, whining and throwing temper tantrums because they did not get exactly what they wanted.

If you didn't talk to everyone like they were an idiot, constantly complain that people are complaining, and were overall willing to actually participate in a debate by providing some reasoning as to why someone's idea hurts the game, then people would take you seriously. I assume you're just a troll since you only post the same thing over and over while telling people that anything wrong in the game is their fault and they should just shut up if BW hasn't come out and said they want to fix it.

BW has not given an "answer" to anything. They've said they don't currently have any plans for merges and will offer discounted transfers again for a week. If we want them to continue considering merges, discounted transfers, or any kind of help for low pop servers, then we have to continue to make our wishes known. If you don't like reading about it, then simply skip over the thread. If you can't stop yourself from telling everyone how they need to suck it up, then people will continue assuming your a troll and have constructive discussions with others trying to find a compromise that works for all parties.

Those reasons have been given, ad nauseum. Some people simply choose to dismiss and ignore those reasons because those reasons do not mesh with their desires. Some people's dismissal of those reasons makes them no less valid.

Exactly. BW has said they have no intentions to merge servers at this time and they will be offering a limited time discount on the server transfer cost.

Maybe it's just me, but I understood that to mean THAT is their answer to the "dead" server complaints and demands for mergers. Of course, that does not stop those who disagree with that decision from continuing to whine, cry and throw temper tantrums because they did not get exactly what they want.

I distinctly recall you and I having lengthy discussion some time ago -- something about needing on companion drops. You demonstrated, (in my personal opinion), an excellent grasp of debate, and the discussion at the time left both worthwhile and interesting.

I don't know what has happened in the meantime, but the VAST majority of your recent posts are heavily slanted in a manner that is all but designed to provoke antagonism on the part of others.

You're fully capable of having a levelheaded and lively discussion without that slant. I've seen it.

Yup...personal attacks. You don't debate anything, you don't offer your take on a subject, you just insult and call people names. I find it disgusting.
