I think he meant a vendor when he said 'by market'. You're confirming his point with your second sentence, so I think there was indeed a misunderstanding : )

He mentioned vendor separately later in the sentence though

But OP isn't entitled to say you should? Maybe learn reading skills better. I never said he couldn't ask....I answered his question. Do you understand how answering a question works? He asked and made his opinion, and I answered with mine and why. But that somehow makes me "telling" him what he can or can't ask of bioware? However you have to twist it to throw insults and troll just because you don't agree with me, pal.....lol

Your argument is nonsense. That gear exists as a reward for doing more challenging content. It wouldn't even exist outside of those ops otherwise. Again, it's called "progression." Google it. It's rewarded to make that more challenging content, easier. If you're not doing that content...you have absolutely no need for it as it's overkill. There is no reason, other than childish entitlement, to expect to get the same level of gear as those putting in the effort to "earn" said rewards. If you don't do Ops, you neither deserve nor need that level of gear. End of story.

And I'm done arguing it....if you can't understand risk vs reward and progression in an MMO...frankly I don't have the patience to school you on it.

Bottom line, you don't need it, and your above argument is downright silly.

How about the following suggestion:

Introduce a rating crafted 224 "Eternal Champion" gear line with the following properties:

The sum of the attributes is roughly the same as 224 Ultimate gear, but:
  • Every piece has at least 10 points of presence on it.
  • The pieces generally have more mastery and and more endurance.
  • Some pieces have a bit of an attribute outside of your spec, which makes your character less specialized. E.g. defense rating on damage dealer gear.
  • To make up for that the pieces generally have considerably less power / critical rating / alacrity rating / shield rating or whatever you would expect for gear of any given class. It must be done so that it isn't viable to use the item for a different class, though.
  • The pieces are non-mod. There are no components you could strip from them.

Set boni are difficult, but I could imagine unlocks for special abilities that allow certain companion moves, gives boosts to certain self-heals or so.

That way it would clearly distinguish from 224 gear and would not be remotely as effective for the purpose of doing operations, but it might actually better in contexts where you play with a companion. It declaredly a kind of solo gear. The dumb thing about it is: It's not particularly useful in a flashpoint or a world boss hunting group either; I am not sure how to make gear useful in flashpoints, but not operations...

Price of the schematic (per item): 50 Ultimate Data Crystals for a 220 version, which then must be reverse engineered, must have an Eternal Legend title to buy.
Price per item (for the 224 version): 5 dark projects, six Eternal Championship tokens and grade 9 artifact quality resources from two different crew mission skills, each of which must be supplied 12 times, plus the usual minor resources (a handful of prototype quality materials from a gathering skill, a few assembly components).

And that's just one reason. Besides unless you're doing Ops, you have no need for BiS gear....crafted/crystal stuff is more than powerful enough.
So if someone one is using 220 gear in a WZ?

A lot of players do WZ's but don't do Op's. Sorry but I don't think Op players should have access to special gear. More so when they go on to abuse said gear in other parts of the game.

More to the point, BW should allow this gear to everyone or remove it. What's the point of BW selling weapons, armour sets that even with the best craft able mods, armour and enhancements is substandard. They don't sell this with a statement saying but MUST DO OP'S to get high end schematics to get best use out of it. Do they? As far as I am concerned none of your points are valid.

Why would I need better gear for Eternal Championship its not like my oponents get enrages and are not affected by stun and other affecting skills. Its all about strategy.

There are some "soft" enrages - Little Gut and Doom Droid both have soft enrages

Hmmm... well, I didn't want to talk about Eternal Championship now, I was just wondering what a meaningful theme for 224 gear might be which isn't for operations, and by its stats not particularly useful in operations. The simplest way to do it would be to specialize on solo situations.

Not sure whether you'd be able to solo a Lost Island (HM) with it, but maybe they put in some achievements to two-man Lost Island (HM). (Well, alright, it's gonna be tricky with the pipes, you need three men to push the buttons.)
