I just bought 2 hypercrates of the Plunderer pack and didn't get a weapon tuning out of it. Either the rate is stupidly low even though it's just a customization item, or it isn't in the pack like they promised it would be which seems likely since I know no one who has actually gotten the tuning in this pack. I believe people who bought this pack should be refunded, or given a number of tunings based on the amount of packs they bought, because these rates, or lack of what was promised is absolutely a scam.

If 3 people I know all bought 2 hypercrates and didn't get a single weapon tuning out of it, then something is definitely wrong.

I'd suggest making the rates a fair bit higher. You're trying to promote a new system, don't make it just for a few people who can afford to buy endless crates or a few people who are lucky. It's a new damn system, make it common otherwise people are just gonna be going without this new idea they've BEEN PAYING YOU SUBSCRIPTION TO FUND.

Bought only one hypercrate, but no sign of the weapon tuning either... Just like the mounts, out of 30 cubes not even a single silver Tauntaun.

Guess they tweaked the drop rate after baiting people in with the few nice items.

Two hypercrates here - no weapon tunings and a single silver Taun Taun

Words cannot express the amount of rage I'm feeling towards Bioware right now!!!

If the drop rate is this poor I hate to think how much they'll be selling for on the GTN, I'm on Tomb of Freedon Naad and the cheapest Unstable Arbiters is going for almost 39mil so god only knows how much the Tunings are going to go for

That's how I feel. To be honest, after buying 60 damn packs and then seeing other people getting weapon tunings right away, I just closed the game. That was it, just closed it. Don't feel like playing, totally put off, completely disappointed, not enjoying it whatsoever.

I don't think it's actually Bioware, though. I believe it's EA, since they deal with the money side of things, most likely. Bioware probably made the tuning system but EA decided how to work it.

I chose to GAMBLE but I wasn't told the odds! Bioware/EA never said how rare these tunings were going to be.(Granted I should've known better of the debacle of arbiters lightsaber)

That about sums it up.

Given the history of the packs, you DEFINITELY should have known better.

It has been said many times on these forums, you are FAR better off buying the packs and selling them unopened on the GTN and using the credits you get to purchase what you want.

If you are going to CHOOSE to GAMBLE and open those packs yourself, hoping to hit the jackpot, then you have NO ONE to blame but yourself. Of course, some people simply cannot accept responsibility for THEIR OWN actions, and want to blame everybody else.

You thought something like that would have good odds? I saw that Bioware were pushing this from their twitter feed so I could tell immediately that it was going to be another lightsaber style odds.

Forgive my naivete!

Maybe I thought lightning wouldn't strike twice, maybe I thought Bioware wouldn't dick us over a second time... with hindsight I should've known better.

Probably, but then again this was the company that gave us gamble packs within gamble packs (chance cubes) so expect nothing.

I won't expect nothing; I'll expect to be ripped off, conned and generally disillusioned (even more so than I am now)

Bioware you've crushed my hopes and dreams and left me a broken shell of a man, if I had a weapon tuning I would fit it to my lightsabre and commit seppuku with it. (Ok so it would probably help if I had a real lightsabre too)

If you buy a hypercrate of any sort it says clearly 2 items randomly picked from.....(list off at least 3 different options).

So by no means they promise that a mount, weapon tuning or whatever is in there. its randomly picked and if your lucky you get something from your wish list.

I for one did not have a wish list other then hoping for a mount. I was amazed I did not get one but two mounts from the hypercrate and yes one was a tauntaun. To be exact, I got a Aratech Verdant and the Regal Tauntaun.

Its a roll of the dice, no more no less.

Its probably cheaper to buy a mount from the GTN then hoping you get one in a hypercrate.

For me, If I buy a crate its a one time only crate and I hope nothing witch usually is what I get.

Do casinos put the odds of winning on their slot machines?

Do you know the odds of winning at blackjack? poker? roulette?

It's not hard to compute these odds, or make really good guesses based on prior information (such as reported drop rates other forum goers are getting). If you don't do your research, not knowing the odds is on you.

Take blackjack as an example. Everyone knows it's a rigged game in favour of the dealer, and yet how many people go to the casino and play it thinking they can actually come out ahead?

I'm actually fine with the Unstable Arbiter lightsaber drop rates, as they have been in every pack since their introduction. This tuning, however, is likely to only be in the Plunderer pack, and since it is the only tuning in existence, should have had a much higher drop rate.
