But the truth is that what they lack in pure dps they make up for in utility.
anything above 2.5k is "very lucky" on any class. 3k is quite competitive. If you use consealment it's all single target damage which means that you contribute to kills rather than fluff aoe damage easily healed by aoe heals.

So I wouldn't say it's NOT TRUE AT ALL

First of I'm not saying the class it's not competitive as a whole. But from purely a dps stand point it is not. And yes, it's easy to top the charts if everyone in your match thinks that hitting 2.5k dps is anything special. But if you're concealment in a match with good players you will not be top damage, it's really that simple.

So to recap, class is ok as a whole due to utility but will never compete with the damage output of other well played dps classes.

OK, well put. I agree.

flondi's not a tank lol. He's just using taunts off cooldown, not hard to do. Still cool number, not everyone can pull that, no matter how bad the opponent is

Plus, 2 KPs and a kolto infusion on teammates here and there can go a long way.

We're not able to do stuff like this anymore.

I usually tell people that like to tunnel while playing operative to just go play Deception Assassin, they'll have an easier time of it.
I've experienced some humiliating moments of DPS impotence with this spec against healers. You go through the whole dps rotation and shutdown the healer perfectly and it's like they're totally fine. They're not even worried. I annihilate bads or undergeared ones NP though and stick to them like crap on velcro. Dat concealment spec for ballrunning though!

The class can exert a lot of control with roots and cc and offer some decent offheals, so it fills a fun roll in regstars for me. I lean more towards lethality these days just because the damage and healing is better.

The purpose of Operatives is not so much to be a damage dealer but to annoy, take nodes, troll.
When required their damage is good enough to kill single target.
You shouldn't care so much about topping meters as an operative.

so let's do the math for 100 seconds of fighting.

=2.5*10^10=25000000k damage.

Okay first of all, you compare a concealment OP with an PT, Jugg, or Sorc? I can say good job, keep it up, play Overpowered and fotm classes.

In the second, Concealment OP get a nerf its true, but still viable if u know your "role". Every class got a role, and if you can't learn this, then practice more in PvP.

Third, you calculate about DPS and DMG? Why for? All 8vs8 regular about objective not about DMG. You want TOP1 DMG and DPS? Keep it up and lose more warzone.

I really love when people just talking about DMG/DPS, or compare every class (class with skill requirement) against fotm and most overpowered classes. You can calculate more, or simple say class broken etc. But please check some video from the best operatives in pvp on youtube.
90% of the players only play with Fotm and Overpowered classes, Other 10% play what they really enjoy!
