Okay, so I'm finally not going to be stubborn. I'm asking for some serious help here. I'm going to post my computer specs, and I'm going to ask for any aid that will improve my FPS Issue in Warzones WITHOUT HAVING TO SPEND A PENNY. I've spent enough this holiday.

Now, first, my processor driver is from 2006. I don't have any idea how to update it. Can't find it.

Spoiler

Now, when I run Warzones, I have SOME FPS issues with Voidstar, but it's at least playable. With Alderaan and Huttball, it isn't playable at all for me. Open world, I am fine for FPS.

My graphics settings for when running Warzones are always lowest settings with vsync and shadows turned off. My resolution is windowed mode about half of 1600x900 or a quarter size of the screen. I also run Gamebooster and have disabled many of the PCU extensive operations that Window's 7 uses.

If you require any more information please ask me I will do my best to offer it. Know that I am computer literate enough to use google but not computer literate enough to tinker with the finer details of software without making my computer explode.

Thank you.

We know that some players experience FPS losses in the warzones and we are looking into this issue. We hope to provide a solution as fast as possible.

Thank you for your patience.

I'm thinking that it may be just because my computer isn't good enough to run it. If this isn't the case, would you mind if I provided some feedback for you?

I believe it's because of the high particle density, you know, the constant canon firing, and the huttball traps, and the spell affects of players. Perhaps adding a graphical option to turn those down could help?

For instance. The FPS is fine in both Huttball and Alderaan when you start the game, but when the canons begin firing, when the players begin using their attacks, and when you are entranced within the fire traps of Hutball that is when the FPS issues really kick in.

I'm sure that if people such as my self are having these problems in here, we will be having the same problems in Operations as well.

P.s. Merry Christmas.

i'm suffering from the same problem. I'm getting 70+ fps on planets using low graphics settings but getting like 10 fps in warzones. My dxdiag as follows:

The same issue as I have, but I would like to mention it is not only warzones - Imperial Fleet too.

Most zones no problem. Imperial Fleet and Warzones laggy ~20 fps with spikes to 10 - so Warzones unplayable with such fight lag. When FPS goes down, the GPU goes down also. The 20 FPS show at 20% GPU load. CPU load also low, about 30% on all 4 CPU.
Graphics high and low setup - no difference for FPS. Open world 50-70 fps, GPU load ~50%.

GFX AMD 4870, CPU AMD Phenom, 4 cores, 3GHz, 4GB RAM, newest driver 11.12

Seems the game sometimes just waits and doesn't properly use the hardware.

Drop of FPS in the confined spaces (buildings/ships): No
Server name: Tomb of Freedon Nadd

Open world FPS: 50-70
Republic Fleet FPS: 15-20
Warzone FPS: 7-25 (very varies, but never goes above 25, especially at Alderaan Warzone)

PC: Custom build ---------------------------------------------
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 925 2.8GHz (OC'ed to 3.5GHz)
M/B: Gigabyte GA-790XT-UD4 (AMD 790X + AMD SB750)
RAM: 12Gb Goodram DDR3-1333 (2x4 + 2x2)

Open world FPS: 60-100+
Republic Fleet FPS: 25-35
Warzone FPS: 20-30

Also I have found that at Warzone CPU and GPU are utilized on less than 50%, it is at about 30% of CPU utilization and 40% of GPU.

Below is a DxDiag info of my laptop (my PC info i'll post later)

Spoiler

P.S.: in SWTOR beta test phase FPS at Warzones i had 40+ FPS constantly. I have recorded video with fraps with no any lag or FPS drop...

Similar issue, 30-80 fps in PvE and 5-20 in all Warzones.
Also, Fps is stuttering seemingly at random in PvE, its not the indoor fps issue which I saw mentioned in another post, its something more, turning off shadows etc, has increased the max fps but has not made it any more stable, I noticed a slight fps increases after the recent patch however maby I'm just imagining it.

Dxdiag:
Spoiler
AMD Phenom II X4 840 3.2GHz ---- 4gb DDR3,
ATI Radeon HD 5770 ---- Windows 7 Home 64 bit

Fix it.

''HORRID FPS'' and this one is basically the same issue.

It's good to get some feedback from BW, but then again I think we're more interested in hearing a message that says ''don't worry guys, this won't take a year to fix'' ;p
