Not enough given posts like this on Reddit:

This account has been temporarily suspended and is not permitted to access the Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ servers.
An email notification has been sent to the email address associated with this account with more information about what this means and what steps may be taken to resolve the issue.
Edit: I only exploited to gain some Influence - about 100 of each alliance crates, get some legacy weapons from the Gree. I got maybe 6000 BC sitting in a hold, 2000 gree artifacts, 2000 rakghoul token things. I had around a stack of 99 of each companion gifts. Some decoration stuff for a stronghold I never update.
I didn't sell anything on the Marketplace. All was for personal gain without effecting the economy.
Edit 2: I had previously exploited Ravagers.

They are bragging about the slap on the wrist on Reddit.

I think (s)he was more concerned with instances like this:

As I stated previously: I bought ten companion gifts on the AH (grade 6 Cultural Artifacts) for 60k a piece. A total of 600k for the ten stack. I applied that to my Juggernauts Lana. Now, I have no idea if those gifts were received by fraudulent activity.

There are ways this can be handled that won't upset me at all. You can leave it as it is and call it "minor damage". It was two influence levels, not that much of a deal. You can also return the credits in an in-game mail and say: "We removed the influence from your companion due to the involvement of fraudulent activities of third parties. Here is your amount of credits paid for the transaction.".

I don't mind those two things. I'm not at all worse off in both cases. What I don't want to happen is that they go: We removed the influence from your companion. But since the gifts were never legitimate you won't see your 600k again. I earned that money legitimately. I wouldn't have spend it if I knew the companion gifts were fraudulent goods.

We are actively investigating these accounts, and we are doing so just as vigorously as the exploiters themselves. In situations that we have found players not only exploited, but are then trying to hide their actions through laundering, we are increasing the severity of the action we take against them. You can see examples of the action we are taking in my previous post.

We can see that in many of these cases, accounts have not only intentionally laundered credits through their guilds and friends, but that they have sent credits and items randomly to other accounts in an attempt to throw off our data. If you received credits or items through trade or in-game mail, and you feel that they were sent to you from someone who likely exploited, leave the items/credits alone. Don’t try to return them or send them to other accounts.

Additionally, feel free to PM me your information:
• Character name and server
• What you received

For users that we can identify as being unintentional recipients, they will have the items/credits stripped, it is unlikely further action will be taken.

Thanks everyone.

What about guilds that were actively participating, and using it to up their conquest rankings. You could see large numbers of members of ranked guilds standing around the vendor for hours.

If a guild leader and significant number of officers and members were participating, that guild should be stripped and dissolved, and the leadership banned.

Are they going to be able to tell the difference between people who bought stuff off the GTN that the exploiters were selling and these alt accounts that were used for laundering?

I don't like the thought that just using the GTN could result in random people being swept up into this. Hopefully they know what they are doing and have ways of telling the difference. I have no way of knowing if I bought from an exploiter, but I did buy 2 stacks of companion gifts recently. Just the fact that the person was selling them in full stacks at all, and lower than many of the other pages of sellers, makes me suspicious. It is safe for me to use these gifts?

Wonder what happened to some of the posters vehemently denying this exploit existed. How many of them were participating.

Where did they say that specifically.

Sounds like they are only targeting those who participated actively, or assisted actively.

You don't fit either of those. The person who bought your stuff loses out, not you.
