Making our companion's GOD mode is not something i would consider a good thing. It proves my point with YOU'R, MY character is Darth Lord and still your main character is weaker then your companion, what a joke! How can Bioware fail so miserably with this update!?

I did vote no, with my WALLET! Just cancelled my sub last night, so no more of my money for you Bioware!

I actually don't mind the level sync that much, but think it needs a tweak. Those of us who solo a lot would like to be able to do things without a group. How about if you hit max level the level sync puts you 3-5 levels above where it does now? Enough where you could solo things, even Heroic 4s but not so high where everything ignores you and you just walk through.

Thats why making this feature optional would be best, if you want to take advantage of it, its there, but if you need to go solo things because of time or lack of allies, then you can also over power it with your level and gear. Lets keep this post alive, and hopefully more people will post an agree.

Making level sync optional would go a long way of keep me and a lot of other players as subscribers. I would expect Bioware to be able to do this and please both sides.

Does anyone have any valid arguments why it's a bad idea, besides it made "their planet grinding easy" or "it's always been that way"? Those are all I keep hearing, over and over. And that is more your own issues/preference, than what is actually a good idea or not.

And I see a problem w/ this as well.
I am level synced on a PvP server. You come around and are not. What kinda balance ensures you don't come and kick my *** cause I wan to enjoy gaining exp from a low-level planet?
I am level synced on a PvE server. I am fighting in an area, looking for a rare spawn. You come around, max level, and AoE everything, taking my target, so I have to wait and do the entire thing again.

I get your feelings on the matter. But it should be an all or nothing, if only for the sake of balance.

The issue with many things you have listed is this: Griefers will be griefers..... If people want to continue to do things like this, all it will take is them needing more people, and I have already seen this since release. There are some PVP guilds that now just send a group of 3-5 people to do what 1 level 50-60 could, it didnt change anything as far as that goes. Also if your playing a PVP server then you have already accepted the risks of getting ganked, so why complain because someone is stronger? You just ask for help from someone who is, problem solved for the moment. With the sync the same situation will arise but instead of just getting one level 60 to help now you need to match numbers for numbers, and with many people already stopping sub then as time progresses it'll be harder to find people to help with the griefing guilds still going strong. Plus on the flip side, minus griefers, you still now need larger groups to do content that you could have completed yourself, so just more limitations and loss of immersion.

So no, this was not a balancing issue in the long run, instead this just limits players how have gotten so used to doing things a certain way since launch.

You made the choice to be on a PVP server and/or RP server. So Level Sync of COURSE is your favorite change in 4.0 I'm sure. Lots more folks on PVE servers.. not so much emphasis on PVP griefing. In fact the griefing is going to happen MORE I think since folks will be like "Hey.. I'm level sync'd so they at least had a fighting chance" now. Before some good hearted players on PVP servers might have just drove by without stopping to whack a lowbie 10-30 levels below them. NOW.. fair game!

Sorry, but I'm not going to lowbie planets unless I need materials for crafting (No reason). I don't want to agro things while I'm collecting resource nodes and this just makes it more painful (Yes a whole 30 seconds more per mob I pull), but annoying still.

It IS a balancing issues. The point is you cannot kick my *** by yourself, you have to bring friends. And if you have the resources to bring friends to kick my butt while I'm just questing in a PvP area, go for it. But don't be surprised if I bring friends back next time too. If I downscale and you don't, you can probably 1-2 shot me, depending on planet. Now, you have to actually bring friends into the mix, giving me at least a chance to defend myself or run.

And considering you are harvesting nodes for a HUGE bounty, rather than random amounts, based on your skill level? A little aggro isn't going to kill you, considering the bigger return of resources you will get from it.

Yea you kinda just said what I did, your just not thinking long term, there are plenty of griefing guilds that have no problems sending more people, and like the previous post and what I said you CHOSE to be on a PVP server, so you accept the risks of being attacked, all PVE content should not change just because of the smaller PVP community. There are more PVE servers, with larger numbers over the PVP ones, so if you dont enjoy getting ganked go there. No reason to ruin solo play because people complained about griefers, because this does NOT fix the issue.

But to say I do not see the benefits of level sync, I feel you should at least get the option especially when it comes to PVE servers and content.
